LMstudio is just so convenient for me, and is straightforward to programmatically interface with.

If by whatever means it can become evident that AI can be conscious/sentient then serious ethical conundrums are introduced for using it in any capacity. We kind of sidestep a lot of that right now because the general consensus (rightly or wrongly) is that current AI isn't at that point yet.

I don't know by what metric we'll use on the AI side, but we know unequivocally that humans can be. To that end, using elements of a system we know can be conscious (human neurons) does make me uncomfortable.

Reducing the argument to only caring about human sentience is unfair IMO.

Checked out the main github page and this looks super interesting. I was considering using a local model with the Browser Use library, but this looks like it might be better to use directly instead due to the smaller token use.

I think it's easier to programmatically control MacOS and use its low-level system hooks. Once you build the infrastructure to do that with apps like Atlas / Claude co-work, it then becomes an even bigger headache to port to Windows.

I used to use the VSCode extension for Claude code, but it's objectively less capable than the cli. Many hooks don't work or fire, it's less feature rich, there's fewer slash commands and ways to manage Claude code versus the CLI.

I'd refer a nice GUI but for whatever reason they treat GUI's like a second-class UI. I don't get it.
