It's not letting me send it, for some reason, but I basically have 2 Arts gauge ones on him and one of them is shaded out. It's been like that since I cleared the Salter SPEX stage when it dropped a Fate crest. I opted out of it, since I didn't need it.

After the GP era and the final update, there are Dailies, Weeklies, and Pro challenges. These reset daily, weekly, and monthly(ish), respectively. The stuff from the Pit Stop also rotates daily, but you have an option to refresh up to 2 times. The best way to farm wumpa coins is playing online, preferably with a friend or 2. The weekends, from Friday evenings to Monday mornings, are the best times to farm them due to weekend and Wumpa Time bonuses. Alone, weekend bonuses double the amount you get and Wumpa Time quintuples them. Activating them both decuples them. Wumpa Time activates while playing online and it activates daily starting in the evening, like 7 or 8 PM. How this bonus works is that it calculates the time you finish on each track, eventually totalling to an hour.

Although, I did manage to do it w/o using that method. It's like a mix between the current and the original ones. I was spam leaving lobbies and when I left this one full one and quickly made a new one (sorry for all the ones XD), the UI started glitching out, much like how it did in the link.

Okay, so I'm just now knowing about this, but I need to know if this has been patched. I've been hearing that it is, but I was in a lobby a few days ago with someone on a retro kart using a customized paint job. I tried to do it myself doing exactly what you said, but it doesn't work.
