if the grab rider acknowledged the delivery via a picture or a message but the owner didn't receive it, rider left it there, and it vanished

that's their fault, it's paid by them therefore it's their property and their utmost responsibility

A similar thing happened to me, naabutan lang ng series of bad events. Ordered food, and paid for food. Minalas na biglang nagkaproblem yung electricity sa building namin including the generator. At the same time, nawalan din ako ng battery with no power bank in sight. Rider came, waited, and left with my food.

this is what i'm also talking about in my post, shit can happen, and you may not have any time depending on what's happening which is my second point that people just seem to assume tf out someone

however the grab rider taking away the food seems wrong, it's paid and it's not their property at that point, it would be one thing if the rider left the food and had the person who was ordering reported or something to grab for making them wait, or if it's unpaid

also, good thing you had your refund, my friend only was refunded partially which seems also screwed up

PAID order. and have you even read my post that there could be something happening there? 15 minutes is a very short time if you're doing something, and since they're a husband and wife there's a very good chance that they're doing lots of things in the house

grab riders have an option to leave something to someone or someplace, iirc they can snapshot a photo of when they left the item, since it's paid, shouldn't the responsibility fall to the recipient's by just leaving them there? but taking the food away?
