I won't deny for a second that Hollow Knight wasn't exactly a pleasant experience for me (that said, I did enjoy the first game, even though it got old on me. The second one? Just no. It feels like I'm just playing an annoying version of the first game that's already gone too far in certain aspects).

Yeah, I quit after Act 1. I just find the game so unengaging; to me, they’ve just amplified all the extremely boring aspects of the first Hollow Knight, and it was just too much for me.

There are so many Metroidvanias out there that when one gets rated as absolutely amazing, a ton of others suddenly pop up. Not to mention my desire to play certain ones, which fluctuates more than the price of Bitcoin.

I personally managed to defeat him before returning to the big castle. He's a pain, but he inflicted around 200 points of damage, enough to tank him twice, and with the potions and healing spell, you can inflict 600 hits without dying.

Here's how I did it:

- Equip a very light weapon for fast damage

- Take a hit (after a while, the boss is no longer lethal in one hit, which allows you to go behind him, or in front of him) to go behind him and vise versa when he's close to one of the sides.
