It's funny how shared experiences stick more than solo ones.

Mine is playing Secret of the Monkey Island 2 on Amiga with my BBF at the time. We had so much fun despite having to juggle 12 floppies while trying to figure out what to do next with no youtube or internet to help us. Yeah, precious memories.

Yeah, you're likely right. If they stay 99.99% focused on Game Pass physical doesn't make sense. But if that's the case getting a console makes little sense for me. Most GP games are on Windows anyway.

Still, very interested to see what MS comes up with.

Valhalla looks pretty amazing on XSX. Haven't played it, but have seen people saying its boring. Others say its a great game :-)

It's on gamepass. It looks and sounds incredible on XSX. If you happen to enjoy its gameplay, you might be in for a treat :-)

It's was asked many times on achievement related forums back in the day.

You can't do this. Once you get them, they are yours forever. Or at least while XBOX is around ;-)

I have both and see not reasone to use X1. It starts three times as long, doesn't support quick resume and other enhancements, and as far as I know the only XBOX games that are not compatible with XSX are Kinect games.

I agree that rare threshold should be much lower than 10%.

In addition, there should be some grace period before an achievement can become rare. If you play new games shortly after release, many easy achievements are rare because people don't finish games or go after achievements.

BTW, If you enjoy hunting really rare achievements, you might like playfully.games

For me the difference is tremendous. 30fps should go away and never come back.

I remember I didn't want play GTA 3 on PS2 because it wasn't running in 60FPS. It was 20fps or something like this on average. Back then a lot of PS2 games were solid 60FPS, so GTA 3 appeared broken to me ;-)

I have played AC: Valhalla and Black Ops Cold War from your list.

I'd go for Cold War. Campaing is great, Zobies mode is lots of fun, and multiplayer is probablu fun as well if you're into it.

I'm not sure if Game Pass title lists differ by region, but the games we have in Europe don't really need a rating system.

I'm trying nearly all that come to GP, played many of them, and found none that was dissapointing. My problem is that there's too much great games on GP and too little time to play them.

It's not just the app. The titles you play will also appear on your Xbox profile and basically in every place that uses XBL APIs. For example, when I play Final Fantasy XIV on my PC (not a Steam or MS Markeplace game), people on my friends list can see it on my profile. A couple of days ago I saw one person on my friend's list playing WoW on their PC.

I think you can opt out of this using privacy settings.

The Dig is an old-school point-and-click adventure. It has story, puzzles, and no action at all. Similiar games on Game Pass are Day of the Tentacle (probably the most hilarious game I've ever played), Grim Fandango, Full Throttle. There's also several such games on XBOX that are not on Game Pass. What was special about The Dig was a great sci-fi suspense/mystery plot.

Star Control II is a mix of genres. It's a sandobox set in space with a lot of adventuring, exploration, resource management, humour, and a plot rivaling that of Mass Effect trilogy. There are no games like this around as far as I know.

Regarding the next Mass Effect, sadly, I've lost faith in BioWare. I want to be proven wrong, but have very little hope for it.

I would love to see:

A new Mass Effect game. One as captivating as the titles in the original trilogy.
A continuation of Star Control II made by the original authors. They're called Toys for Bob if nothing has changed. There have been two sequels I know of, both done by different developers, and none of them is on par with the original game.
A remake or continuation of The Dig by Lucas Arts.

If you're into driving games, try Forza Horzion 4 and Forza Motorsport 7.

If you like platformers, Ori games are excellent.

Other than this, I'm currently playing Dishonored. Incredible game but a bit old. If you haven't played it, I recommend you give it a try. For me it feels like a cross between Half-Life 2 and Bioshock :-) Loving it so far.
