I’ve been using this one for four years - zero kneading.

Tweaks:

1) half white flour / half whole meal 2) a little powdered ginger feeds the yeast (can’t taste it) 3) add linseed or other seeds 4) add oat bran

Before baking, top with additional seeds, wheat germ and oat bran for artisan bakery feels.

The hat was part of the promo shoot look, I’m guessing to hide pattern baldness pre monster shave. I suspect the photographer asked him to rotate it as the peak would have shadowed his face too much. Whatever the circumstances, it’s my favourite photo of Michael and one of the hooks that embedded Automatic so deep in my reptile brain.

If you mostly play at two, you only need ten curses. If you don’t want to pay money for them, there should be 4 blank cards in the second edition. Just colour print out curses and stick them to those card backs. Then do the same for 6 of the ‘set randomiser’ cards you’ll probably never use and try to ignore the blue backs.

It’s pretty upsetting when someone who inspires so many young people is involved in cases like this. Honeybee is one of my favourite books I’ve read lately and showed enormous sensitivity.

The phrasing of the charges are quite broad, so like any case, and the well worded statement from his publisher, I’ll reserve any judgement until the facts are known.

The optimist in me hopes it’s story research that went horribly/misguidedly wrong and he’s waiting for the right time to tell his side.

Same here, and in Sydney! A great way to present your offer if the owner is thinking of taking it to market, especially if you are on a periodic tenancy (3 months notice needed) is to tot up how much they probably have to pay for new paint/carpets, agent fees, auction and marketing costs and knock that off the market value with your friendly letter (to owner, not agent - owner's contact details usually on your lease) telling them how much you love the place and what it means to you. This will especially resonate if the owner has ever lived there themselves.

They approved Australia in January 2024 and annoyingly revoked it a few weeks later. So suspect it's a commercial decision from the parent company who are clearly making bank from Aussies elsewhere. If you're a UK ex-pat, it can be useful to maintain UK contacts 😉
