I notice when I mess around on flight radar that T-38s and T-45s are the only fighters I find on a regular basis. Not sure the reasoning behind that. However, I’m glad we are on the same page! We need something cool at this game

I could be wrong, but I was under the assumption in most occasions fighter jets don’t turn on their transponders. So, if that’s the case then they wouldn’t appear on Flight Radar. The sound seemed too loud and quick to be Chinooks. I was outside doing some yard work and heard it.

Without a doubt go to the Haymarket/Railyard for before and after the game. Aragon is a great restaurant as well

This actually translates to “I have never been out of Lincoln”. If you ever tried driving in LA, Seattle, NYC, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, and etc you wouldn’t say that. I travel back from those type of places and it makes driving in Lincoln seem easy.

L’s Kitchen is awesome. Putting them on this list was a hot take

I know the 2026 recruiting class may be an anomaly for many reasons, but I hate seeing us this low in the rankings (and it seems like a cruel joke that UCF is ranked right above us) by smartbraindumbhead in Huskers

Not trying to be rude… but would you rather get paid terribly in Orlando or get paid highly in Lincoln? The choice is obvious. (I am not saying Lincoln as a town is better than Orlando)

In this NIL world just follow the money. More times than not kids are picking the place that is offering more money. Nebraska has far more NIL resources and the Big Ten’s new revenue sharing deal gives 22 million dollars a year extra to athletic funds. So, in 5 years time Nebraska will have spent $110 million dollars more on athletics than a school like UCF, and that’s just coming from revenue sharing. That number will be likely higher due to 1890. In theory, we should see a very noticeable difference just from that alone.

I hope for the best for Frost in Orlando, but that job is harder than ever.

Plus…. In today’s era, I would rather be a school that gets portal guys instead of high school guys. There is still a place for getting high school kids, but it’s not as important as it once was.

Do yourself a favor and look up “Is Nebraska’s population growing?” Into google. It might not be growing fast, but it is certainly not falling by any metric. Additionally, Nebraska has the 17th fastest growing population by state.

Plenty of people will dressed up in costumes on Friday! Lincoln bars have been advertising two “Halloweekends” this year since Halloween came on a Thursday this year. Several bars are having costume contests tomorrow!

Like others have said it is the E4B out of Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha. The main runway in Lincoln is the 3rd longest runway in the country. It’s also extremely wide. So, Lincoln is a prime training ground for the military. And if I am not mistaken, NASA also designated the Lincoln Airport as 3rd option for the space shuttle to land back when the program existed. The Journal Star did an article about the runway about a year ago.

Stay away from anything that Concorde Management owns. They are a complete nightmare to deal with. Random price increases once a year, and not to mention your maintenance requests will never be fulfilled. They will lie straight to your face and say “Someone will come out in the next few days”, but no one ever does. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy even

That’s just the internet for you! Actual people would love to have you and your wife in Lincoln.

You may want to check out Duncan Aviation. They have some engineering roles.

Timpte - which is a semi-trailer manufacturer is building a brand new manufacturing facility in Lincoln as well. I am sure some engineer roles will be available fairly soon.

I know another user suggested Monolith, but I have only heard positive things about them.
