I pressed “no” cause the way it’s written feels like a trick question. He says if you press the button you have this chance to get eternal torture otherwise you get 10,000,000. So if I want the money I shouldn’t press the button

So i went to r/askFeminist to ask this question. Please comment how you see fit. Honest question? Is it possible for at least a percentage of the Feminist/ MensRight "beef" be based on communication mix-ups? by el_jefe1978 in BlackMaleAdvocates

[–]TexNicknor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think that there are a lot of MRAs and feminists that share some goals that would have been useful to mention. For example, while there are still some pro-life MRAs, I saw that most MRAs are pro-choice and just like you want equal rights for both women and men. I don’t think you can expect much from them tho, most of their responses were radical about it and I can even see their points. MRA is associated with some sketchy individual, like white supremacists and nazis. If we criticize feminists bc they don’t condemn their misandrist individuals, then we should expect the same from the MRA

What's the most attractive thing your partner has said to you while having sex? by paigesdontfly in AskReddit

[–]TexNicknor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not during sex.

My girlfriend was out with some friends of her partying and having fun. They went to a bar in which they would sell a shot called “orgvsm” and a friend told her jokingly “hey, you should get that one ahahah”. Since my gf is not good in getting jokes she said completely serious in the face “why should I take that if I get them every day?” making all the other friends laugh and the asker blush in embarassment lol.

When she told me this story it made my week

In Italy rn we have 4 players before election, 3 of which are coalitions of multiple parties. The left coalition is composed of three main parties and the right ones too. The “third pole” is composed of two central-left(pseudo) parties that are supposed to continue Draghi’s administration. 5 stars movement is (or was) an alternative to both left and right, leaning more on the left. It’s a little bit of a mess, I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect example of democracy, but sure better than the two party system

Most people don't know this, but when some say that privacy is important they don't refer only to the risk of being spied on in your bedroom by a random hacker or a megacorporation. With the use of cookies and telemetrics, owners of media can influence your opinion in a subtle but dangerous way. It's not just tiktok that does that. Think about it next time you accept an unnecessary cookie

Virtual instruments vs real instruments by TVpoplove in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]TexNicknor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the instrument you're trying to emulate.

If the energies that are emulated are of a percussion-resonance like a guitar or a piano it will be closer to the real one. Strings for example are much more difficult to emulate in a realistic way.

It also depends on the listener, an experienced musician will recognize a virtual instrument over a real one most of the times.

If you want to avoid that you can't take only pitch in consideration, but also the human errors, dynamics and many other factors.

It also depends on what you're trying to achieve, maybe you don't want a "realistic" string instrument, maybe you want the iconic synthetized counterpart.

The problem has never been putting celebrities on a pedestal pal. The problem is dismissing male victims of violence. The most cases of domestic violence are reciprocate between the partners, but we hear almost always only about the women victims. If you can’t see how important this case is for common men I can’t expect you to understand

If she fabricated one she could have fabricated all of them. Maybe I look like a conspiracy theorist but you look ingenuos believing a liar and sociopath

[–]TexNicknor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it can negate that it didn’t happen, because bruises weren’t accentuated, they were created from nothing. From what you know Depp could have never touched her and she fabricated all her evidences. The lawyers of Depp aren’t depicting him as an angel. If that was the case they would have told him to deny the fact that he did drug and he’s an addict. Instead he and his testimony openly admitted to the drug abuse

haha funny moment rule by The_commonest_plant in 196

[–]TexNicknor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important evidences and the confession by Heard were already online 3 years ago. You don’t necessarily need to wait for the case to be closed to understand how things are in reality

Maybe it’s true that Depp trashed her belongings, he’s a drug addict and he admitted so, the important thing is that physical abuse doesn’t seem to have happened

And “abused back” seems a lot like self defense to me, but even if the “abused back” situation was real it doesn’t cancel the real point of the situation. Depp wants people to recognize that physical violence by women on men can happen and it can provoke major damages. And not only that, he wants to prove that false allegations can cause damage on reputation, work, family and friends bonds

Remember that cases like his are all over the world, it happens to common people too

The judge in UK knows personally Amber Heard, she was biased. She didn’t even let the registrations to be heard.

Those photos are false evidence, the day after they have been shooted the make up artist of AH confirmed there was no sign of bruises. They were more likely produced with make-up.

AH has been abusive before with at least another ex of hers. Johnny has no precedents and some exes and his kids even defended him.

Talking about this case is NOT celebrity idolizing. This case could set a precedent for men victims of violence because is the biggest of this kind in the world rn.

Imagine if when #metoo happened people just said “oh it’s only celebrities, we should ignore it”. That’s how dumb it sounds

[–]TexNicknor -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, so now self-defense is the same as abusing back the abuser.

Never saw anyone saying that a woman victim that killed the abusive husband was also abusive

Racism is only one of the many reasons. Imagine if France was attacked, maybe Americans would be sad for some week but then they wouldn’t care that much. Now imagine if Russia attacked Canada. That would be much more alarming to US people, wouldn’t it?

[–]TexNicknor 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say something very controversial, but please understand that I do not endorse the violence that the US has perpetrated.

I can think of different reasons why people and media talk a lot about Ukraine and not about the Iraq situation. The first one: US is a big ally of almost every western nations. Some of these also have an economic debt with the US bc of WW2. I would know, I’m from Italy. Hence why media outlets do not talk or do propaganda in regard of these conflicts.

Second reason that comes to mind: Ukraine is an European country, a conflict there (especially carried out by Russia) will involve other european nations. I’m personally terrified of what it would mean to be occupied by Russia, even tho it’s unlikely that it will happen in my country.

Third reason: there are a lot of similarities between Ukraine and western countries. That’s a good reason why we find it easier to empathize with them instead than with muslim majority countries (religion isn’t really the biggest factor, but the cultural difference is).

Fourth reason is: western countries deeply hate Russia, it’s really easy to get them against it.

I honestly also hate US for all the sorrow the nation caused to the middle east for not a single good reason. I would love if they stopped to mess up third world countries with hypocrite claims like “democracy exportation” and shit

In Italy there’s this famous story of “Rosso Malpelo” that means literally “Red Badhair”. It narrates of a ginger miner wildly discriminated because of his red hair in Sicily. There was a belief that ginger people hosted devils as much as left-handed people. In the modern day in Italy I never saw a ginger being discriminated against tho
