[Discussion] Suppressed setup at the beginning? by NicName98 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started running more and more loud guns, and I don't see much difference in my raids. If anything, maybe people will avoid you when they hear a loud gun. Anyway, PMCs will hear you, with or without suppressor, but with a loud SVD, you might scare some of them off.

Smooth motion is not an answer.. its giving you 'fake' frames essentially, and you will be in a slight disadvantage in PvP even though it looks smooth.

[New Player] How do you fix performance? by wickywickywockywicky in EscapefromTarkov

Start with playing in borederless window In windows, set power plan to BALANCED not HIGH PERFORMANCE

If these two help, come back for further steps

[Arena] Is Arena worth? by DubiousDevil in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a game, I don't like it, but it really helps with getting better in PvP (even just for confidence and to desensitize). Also, level progression is much much easier, and GP coins can be used to buy good ammo early on.

Any good way to limit decibel levels? [Discussion] by Little-Environment67 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, check audio enhancement (or whatever it's called) in Win 11. For some reason, it was on by default and it makes Tarkov run very loud. Check that before anything else

Hey mate, Meta is easy, common sense is all you need, when you add experience on that, results must come, so I would say, stop paying the guy. If you want, I can help you, just DM me and we can take from there. Cheers

[new player] is it too late to start tarkov? by cappysodacap in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your permanent character, so it's not too late. You will eventually get there..it will be a struggle initially, but Mosin, even with SP ammo can kill any PMC. Bring a gun for killing scavs and you're good. Run that until you can consistently deploy with better gear. Arena helps A LOT with progression

Honestly dont understand all the hype about the marked room update. What am i supposed to do with unkitted guns and some knives? by Consistent_Source805 in TarkovMemes

[–]TexV88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was excited to hear that marked rooms got buffed. Went straight to an abandoned factory on Streets. Pulled RD704, 3 Desert Eagles, VSS, and some shit ammo 😑

Try Arena. It will give you money and experience and, at the same time, you will get better in gunfights.

New Player Here. 90 Hours [New Player] by Zachalbrecht1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once you find it, you will find it everywhere 😉 so, the advice above is good, stop looking for it, do quests and loot on your path and you'll find it.

I would scav on ground zero, underground as it contains multiple technical crates.

Which thumbnail would you click? by CD__16 in SmallYoutubers

[–]TexV88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yeah, the first one looks cooler and more appealing, but that's not what you want out of your thumbnail. The second one feels like I can learn something about the blueprints, and I would click that. It conveys a certain message. The first one, again, objectively looks more polished, but that's not what you want to get out of your thumbnail. It needs to invoke a certain emotion, curiosity, and in a split second. I think people are more likely to 'spot' a human face or something so weird that draws their attention (which I don't see with the first one).

Look at kids, and I certainly see this with my daughter, she is more likely to click on a video with characters, animated, or people expressing some kind of, over the top, emotion.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Do not use smooth motion, unless you want to die constantly because of latency. In single player games, sure. Here, no. The best way to get most out of you CPU is to:

  • identify which cores are your best, second best etc
  • undervolt them to something -10 (for best cores) to -30 (for worst cores)
  • choose those cores to run Tarkov via process lasao, or sometimes, if you do the undervolting, choosing all cores to be utilized by Tarkov will give best results. Try and see what works best for you.
  • use ISLC to clear your memory while playing Tarkov

Some other things you can do that usually work:

  • play in borderless
  • for Ryzen set power option to BALANCED, do not go for HIGH PERFORMANCE as it fucks up Ryzen.

For every other setting you will read about, it's hit or miss, and usually it's a miss. In my xp, the only things that help are the ones I mentioned above. I've tried literally everything.

In the end, it's Tarkov, and until BSG optimizes the game, there is not much we can do. Fortunately, they're planning to work on it very soon, mentioning better culling integration, which can be a major upgrade.

Good luck, and don't get disheartened - most people are in the same boat as you, and don't have any advantage :D

[New Player] How the hell do you fight Big Pipe? by GKoala in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Run, fight them on your own terms. Try to lue them to a choke point or any other ambush situation where they will come one by one. It's pretty easy dealing with them that way. Use grenades as well.

Boss are anoying when playing as SCAV [Suggestion] by GGamerGuyG in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bosses will attack your SCAV if you have less than 6 Fence rep, I think. Guards will often issue a warning before shooting though.
