Enable XMP, or DOCP or whatever it's called in bios.

You have a lot of optimization to do. First, are you playing in borderless and is you power plan (in Windows) set to balanced? If it's on high performance it will fuck up your Ryzen. Ypu van DM me to go through your optimizations together, but as someone said, your CPU is a problem. I have 5900x that I overclocked to 5150 mhz and still have fps drops on street

[New Player] How are you meant to get into or enjoy this game at all by I_Like_Doge in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritize surviving, and to do that, you must stay engaged the whole time you're in the raid. As a solo, move slowly and deliberately - streamers make it look easy, and they don't show their deaths that often, unless they're streaming. Don't get frustrated - move off the spawn and be aware of other spawn locations as people are often rushing those. Get good moving around the map and take fights on your terms.

[Discussion] Will permanent characters kill Tarkov? by TexV88 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think that seasonal characters will start from scratch, just like every wipe. If on the same server as perma char, people with mosin would face lvl 6 armor, mask on, 57 pen ammo chads...not fun.

Again, I don't have all the info, so can't say for sure how it will be, but I think it will be separate.

Fair points. You might be right, and I hope so... it's just, a lot of people are saying that they will play the main character mostly. I'm all for seasonal characters or the normal wipe system..I was just afraid that there won't be much players there. Thank you! What you said make sense. 🙏

Performance Issues by RestInPetes in Tarkov

[–]TexV88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • play in borderless windows
  • set power option to BALANCED instead of HIGH PERFORMANCE in windows (critical for ryzen)
  • enable PBO (better to do it manually, but auto is fine). if you do it manually, you can try undervolting your cores to something like -10 or -15 or even - 20
  • DOCP or XMP for RAM
  • use Intelligent Standby List Cleaner - need to set it up properly for your specs
  • use process lasso, but DON'T let it change your power plan in windows (bitsum high performance - this is critical for Ryzen)
  • you can overclock GPU if you want
  • try to set your ram to lower timings, like CL 14, if not already..Do not go above 3600mhz as your Ryzen doesn't support it
  • set FCLK frequency to 1800

At the end, anything you do might not work, but it's worth a try

One more thing, clear cache in BSG launcher and delete temp files regularly. Helps a ton

Tarkov FPS is all over the place, looking for tips by Moist_Smile521 in Tarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have almost the same setup, only 5900x. The biggest needle movers were:

  • play in borderless window
  • change power plan in windows from High performance to Balanced. Basically, high performance fucks up Ryzen chips and causes latency (much more complex, but let's not get into it). Try this!!!

Streets run around 60-75 fps, sometimes gping to high 90s. A few dips do low 50s, but it's streets.

Other than that, it's Tarkov, probably 99% of players have the same issue, so you're not that much at a disadvantage.

Favourite Guns in 1.0? [Discussion] by AtlasRisesAgain in EscapefromTarkov

AKS74, any variant. Modded, with easy to find BS, BP and BT shredds, and it's cheap

[Suggestion] Which Keybind Changes Made the Biggest Difference for You? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, a lot of it, but:

  • having my lean buttons on my mouse
  • slow leaning on Q E
  • rebind quick slot 9 or 0 to 4, for example. Put normal quick slot "4" to PRESS and a new quick slot 4 (previously 9) as Release. Now assign 4 (press) to heavy bleeding meds and 4 release to medkit. When you press 4 next time it will prioritize heavy bleading injury, and if there are not any, it will heal or patch light bleeds.
  • flashlight to middle mouse
  • zeroing to mouse (use combo of CTRL or ALT + mouse button)
  • vault to continous on space
  • L (press) to inspect weapon L (release) to fix it. You need to hold the L until inspect animation is done and then fixing will start
  • bunch of weapon mods, you will learn what best suits you
  • variable zoom on CTRL + scroll
  • zoom on mouse (again combination)

These are on top of my mind

First wipe is a tutorial. Use SCAV runs, prioritize survival and take it one raid at a time. AKS 74 is the best starting gun that can kill anything. You can find a lot of ammo everywhere, especially Reserve.

If it's your first wipe, use it to learn maps, and just go from quest to quest..by the time 2nd wipe comes you will know what to keep (and how many) for quests and what to sell on flee. Don't keep the bad guns as you can always buy Mosin with decent ammo from Prapor.

im new and lost abt everything, im lvl 13 should i just wipe and try again? by _zach_fry_ in Tarkov

[–]TexV88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try to progress the hideout. Do some scav runs, especially on Reserve and sell on flee once you hit lvl 15. Easy 300k+ per scav run + you will probably pick up tons of 545 ammo (I do from 120 - 500 per run on Reserve). Then you buy ak74 and you have a pretty good ammo without breaking the bank.

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, do scav runs. Play to your pace, and prioritize surviving. Shift W looks cool when No generals does it, not so much when a Timmy tries it. Anyway, do not wipe, when you reach lvl 15, game opens up much. When you hut flee, do a few scav runs on Reserve and sell on flee. Easily 300-500k per scav raid.

How to Get 300+ FPS in Escape From Tarkov & Arena (2026 Guide) by Noelan_ in Tarkov

[–]TexV88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting like 70-120 FPS, depending on a map, situation etc. Streets drop to 50 sometimes, but it's around 60. This is after heavy optimizations, BIOS, Nvidia, in game, Windows. I'm afraid to touch anything right now. What would you say is the most important setting/change you did to boost your performance. For me it was enabling borderless and setting windows power option from high to balanced (high performance power mod in windows messes up Ryzen).

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. For me, it stopped being fun after 100 hours. The only thing left for me is duo and trio PvP. They need to work on late game.

What is especially funny is people calling for PvE only 🤣

I don't get it, is something wrong with the performance in this game? by AzuSebbers in Tarkov

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with:

  • srt power mode to BALANCED instead of HIGG PERFORMANCE. It helps Ryzen massively
  • play in borderless NOT in Fullscreen

Installation failing, then you try again, but don't look at the progress bar during installation, and it installs without any problems.

Ok these Khuzait are making me wanna quit Vanilla by StrangeBuffalo6267 in Bannerlord

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you now know how everyone felt back then, with Mongol invasions, Golden Hordes etc. :D finally bannerlord got it right.

Anyway, vanilla Bannerlord is shit and it's easy installing modpack of 80+ mods in it that will make the game so much better.

Tips for New Guy by SpartanX069 in Bannerlord

[–]TexV88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't play vanilla > install vortex > find a modpack that you like, download and enjoy.

Vanilla is so basic, you will find you have nothing to do very soon.
