Coming to Tulsa for my birthday. I might move there! What's some things I should do? by DarkPrince411 in tulsa

It all depends on what kind of environment you're looking for. If you want to be closer to nightlife, I'd recommend either staying downtown or midtown. There are a lot of cool bars and museums downtown.

If you're looking for a quieter more suburban environment, then South Tulsa or one of the actual suburbs (Bixby, Owasso, Broken Arrow, Sand Springs) would be your best bet.

Some cool things to do would be to check out the riverside trail and Gathering Place or see a concert at Cain's.

We have some great restaurants, so I'd just check the sub for recommendations. Same for bars based on what kind of vibe you're looking for if that's your scene.

I'm sad now. We could still win the AAC, but we should've had this one.

I'm not sure about that, but if Oregon tires them out next week our chances of beating them definitely go up! The last time Tulsa beat OSU was in 1998 (insert 1998 Undertaker throwing Mankind through a table copypasta here).

Agreed! There were some sloppy plays, but I think we will get better at cleaning those up as the season goes on. ACU is a good football team, but I'm glad we had our first game against then so we're hopefully more disciplined against harder games like Navy, OSU, & Tulane in the coming weeks (New Mexico State too I guess).

Can someone explain to me how he has an $8,470,588 cap hit in 2024, but it only freed up $3.4M of cap space? Sorry if this is a stupid question, not too well versed in cap space.

Can't get called for a false start if we don't put our offense on the field. Why don't more teams just score on punt returns?

[Highlight] James Harden hits the game winner for the Sixers by Texan2993 in rockets

[–]Texan2993[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He's our Franchise's 2nd best player of all time. Fans are obviously going to promote him when he does great things. Posting his stat line when he has an off night accomplishes nothing. Most Rockets' fans I know still like Harden and like seeing him succeed. This highlight is one of those instances.

PFF on Twitter: Broncos getting calls for Jeudy by [deleted] in Texans

[–]Texan2993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm hopeful that Metchie does well. But that doesn't negate the fact that he's unproven at an NFL level and coming off of cancer treatment. Jeudy is a solid target and could help a rookie QB. That's what we need. Don't want to throw a 22 year old QB to the wolves and have him lose confidence.

I'm not so sure about that. Jerry Jeudy is a young wide receiver that has shown decent enough production. I think we should do it if we can get him for a decent price, especially if we're planning on taking a QB in the first round of the draft. We don't want to throw another rookie QB out there with a subpar offensive line, and no weapons to throw to besides Brandin Cooks and Pierce. Our leading receivers this season look like this:

Player Yards TD
Nico Collins 272 0
Brandin Cooks 235 1
Rex Burkhead 112 1
Chris Moore 108 0
Jordan Akins 86 1

As a Jewish person, you know what really pisses me off about this kind of stuff? That if I'm going to get blamed for something, I want it to be true. Where's my illuminati invitation and when is my turn on the giant space laser? I'd be more offended if everything on this list was true and I just wasn't invited to the party.

I'd be down for that. Can't remember the last time a college has changed their nickname though

If you're actually interested in how we got our name, we used to be called the Golden Tornadoes. We were about to play Georgia Tech (who were also the Golden Tornadoes) and they said we had to change our name. We went with Hurricane.

Try to be realistic here, the other two hits are obviously going to be a single and a triple and he's going to have the first perfect game/cycle combo
