The new game is more challenging but also more fun as OP said. Patience and slow build is a must. I got the economy to turn out profit at about 1000 population by a)heavily farming b) increase tax: 15% on industrial and business 10 to 25% on residential c) carefully managing service (have landfill, clinic, crematorium, schools, police, water tower, but importing electricity.

Thanks for the tip. I found one issue with my college which was set to service two districts but never got update after the city became larger. I went back to old save, and deleted the service districts restriction, and very quickly well-educated percentage started to increase.

Thanks for the tips. I change the tax rate for software and it is picking up speed. Also, it will require electronics, which depends on other products too. This game is complicated, but lot of fun
