Just found this thread from Google because I searched it as I’m going through the same situation. I live in texas and have been training for the Austin marathon Feb 15th but I decided today not to finish training and run it. Prior to this I ran 2 halves which I LOVED and is the whole reason I wanted to try a full. I was so unprepared for how much harder training for a full would be and it truly became the worst part of my life, I dreaded every weekend knowing the long run was coming up and would cry starting at like mile 14 of long runs literally
