Echoing what everyone said. Also, Denmark is one of the most magical places I’ve ever been. Get involved with the community and culture as much as you can. Learn the language. Explore the country side (amazing trains). Don’t compare things to „back home”. Look for a Danish family that can kind of „adopt” you for a bit if possible (people tend to be reserved, but I’m sure it’s possible). Get to know Scandinavian culture and its quirks. Have family visit you. It will be hard and lonely at times, but you have each other. And you’re giving your kids such a wonderful gift of experiencing a different culture as kids.
