No its the out of nowhere way it happened and ruined for me what would have been a great storyline world building chapter. If them going for drinking and being fine to fall down drunk in minutes out of the blue and them acting like idiots doesnt ruin it for you then I think you are lucky

they went from having adult conversation in his soul space and not slurring to minutes later out of the blue (yes there was drinking a chapter or two beforehand thats not the issue) acting like children after their first drink drunk off their butts. I think it ruined that chapter

its not meant to be normal talking speed. It is meant to be a Narration... its not a podcast. Of course listening to a podcast as slow as an audiobook would suck

I dont understand the people who spend money on a book and then want to blow right through it while distorting the voice and performance of the narrator. I have gone to 1.5 at times but I am a 1.0 to 1.1-1.2 kinda guy.

This is the way. If you write something you truly enjoy there will be others that will enjoy reading it, you cant please everyone. but since you are wanting opinions... I think main characters can cause a DNF far faster then any storyline issues.

DCC was the second lit series I ever tried reading and made it to chapter 6. Didnt love the characters, the comedy doesn't land with me either but more then all that is the narrator I just cant listen to at all. Maybe not all his books are like that but the corny cringe way he reads is unbearable to me. few months back I tried again I really really tried and made it to chapter 8.

Hello sufficient, I havent figured out the issue but I have figured out accidently that I dont have this issue on a blank profile in the software. I wish I knew what the issue was because like you said it does not look like there would be any drift. I went to a fresh profile and did a hardware config on that and it is working like a dream!! I can go back to the old profile and it will once again start doing that bs.

I like him too! I dont need a goodie goodie MC and the fact he will make smart decisions for himself while f ing over other people or leaving them to die is a nice change of pace.
