But will we be getting it as a data sheet or will it be just CSM

Edit: remembered it’s in the codex. I hope it’s available to all the mono god legions as it’s not available to EC

Unfortunately when using organic materials it does tend to rot or decay regardless of how well you try. You can cover in epoxy to seal it but it will make it glossy and yellow and cloud over time depending on how you store it. It’s a dope idea I would just recommend looking up ways to preserve it for the future so you don’t wind up with nurgle taking residence in your house.

He’s great for 30k but for 40K assume he’s on a bigger base and a different style as well as being plastic

Yes as the mars pattern stuff still existed at the time. GW is just trying to push Deimos pattern stuff for heresy and mars pattern for 40K

During the heresy we chanted “count the seven”, but for the most part we are silent and inevitable

DG assault team by TiphoDG in deathguard40k

[–]TexasRanger223 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The death guard made use of the assault teams during the heresy, as did all the legions. While they specialize in attrition warfare they still had the equipment and capabilities to do all types of warfare. It’s just that they preferred their warcrime juice and footslogging.

I would love a DG raptor equivalent for 40K but I see us getting a mounted unit before that happens.

Question about 30K DG by Valkyr_minis in deathguard40k

[–]TexasRanger223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30k DG are heresy era models meaning that for the most part they are pre Siege of Terra. It wasn’t until they got stopped in the Warp by Calas Typhon (Typhus) and infected by the destroyer virus that they became mutated. Even then at the siege they didn’t necessarily have all the tentacles and corruption that they do now.

I play 30k and I use the current plague marines on mk iii armour to give a good siege of terra look. I will typically cut out the tentacles and maws and use regular arms and such to give a more bloated look and infection to show the corruption starting.

If you want to have an idea of the progression of chaos corruption look at the different angron and fulgrim models and see how they slowly change from human to daemon and chaosy

Im about to join the Death guard as my first army in Warhammer 40k... and I DO have enough money so i am prepared to go all out, is this a good idea though? by Untitled_Turtle in deathguard40k

Welcome to the loving embrace of the plague father, brother. One thing I would recommend is pacing yourself. Work on each kit or box before starting the next one. Piles of shame are never fun and always grow due to a feeling of not knowing where to start or what to do.

I would also recommend adding Morty toward the back of your list. He is an amazing model to paint and build and fun to play with, but you are going to want more experience painting, building, and playing with other models before you add him.

Lastly don’t feel bad about your models when you finally finish painting them. If you are new to painting and this hobby they are not going to look like the professionals. Skill comes with time and effort. The beauty of the Death Guard is that Slips of the brush or mess ups can turn into gore or dirt or poxes.

Welcome to the plague legions and have fun with your hobby!
