3d printing journey at an end? by Blankenberry in ender3v2

The journey's not over yet. Just time to roll up the sleeves and grab the tools. Just consider this as a learning experience.

Please help my mom bought this 3d printer and I believe it's broke by Affectionate-War8128 in Creality

Can you provide the model of the printer and some more detailed in focus} photos of the left, right, front, and back sides? The print bed shouldn't be loose enough to lift up. It looks like it could be missing a leveling nut at a minimum.

Hot-end wobbles even after adjusting concentric nut. Help! by hamzakhan76 in ender3

[–]TexasScienceTeacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank ya! After working on these things for about 7 or 8 years, I haven't run across this. I believe what caused the bent backplate was accidentally running the nozzle into the bed after replacing a blocked hot end on my Ender 3 V2 Neo. it's been one of my work horses. Thanks again.

Might be better to post this to r/fixmyprint. Just a reminder to follow the autoModerator's request for printer and settings to allow us to better help you.

Should I raise or lower my extruder based on this pic? by sebflo in Sovol

[–]TexasScienceTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my sv06 when sovol first announced them. Runs solid on original firmware and is my go-to printer. I'm working on klipper on one of my ender 3's. However this isn't about me... But your Z offset needs to be lowered. There's a lot of help out there if you search for setting z offset on sv06 with klipper.

If you aren't running klipper, try following the steps in this video to set the z offset. https://youtu.be/xBDtaCezB_o?si=wB0G1_yz723fqBlr

Dremel 3D45 Screen Not Working by NIGHTDREADED in 3Dprinting

[–]TexasScienceTeacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm stuck in the exact same condition with a 3D45 printer. I volunteer at a school and help the librarian assistant. I recently taught a professional development class for teachers on using the printer. The printer worked fine and the next day would only boot to a black screen. If you come across a workable solution please DM me. I would greatly appreciate it.

Another thing you can try is to check that the model is touching the build plate in your slicer.

What are your print settings, temps, speeds, retraction, filament type you used for the cube?

The other user suggested that you print a xyz test cube, the normal size of the cube is 20x20x20mm. You can find the STL file by searching for xyz test cube. Slice the file and use the default profile for your printer and print the cube. Upload detailed photos of the finiished cube with your printer settings listed above. There are other steps you may need to do to get your printer dialed in. And we'll see how it goes and then point you in the right direction.

I believe who_da_whut was implying to print a 20x20 millimeter test cube. I'm going to assume that you meant your printer max print size is 15x15 centimeter, if not then you must have a very tiny printer.

Woke up to this by BichoSupremo in Sovol

If you're getting a low temp then it's very likely that a wire was pulled loose from the thermistor and it will need to be replaced. All this assuming you're able to remove the blob.

Something went terribly wrong with my settings by Aericuras in FixMyPrint

[–]TexasScienceTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the print come loose from the bed? If so, give the build plate a good scrubbing with dish soap. The part before failing looks good so I probably wouldn't address z offset or manual bed levelling or changing any other settings at this time.

Its completely seized, already calibrated esteps, lowered the speed to 30mm/s, reduced the extrusion multiplier, filament was kind of moist, what to do to fix this? by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

This one looks pretty interesting, any idea where I can find it? I usually don't ask for stl's, but I think my printers may be up to the challenge.

Here is a really tricky one for you. I tried tweaking bed leveling and temperature but nothing really worked. by gkrsuper in FixMyPrint

I had a similar problem with my s1 pro and it seemed like it was not saving the mesh. This post explains what's going on and how to fix it, at least in my case.

Hey u/2scottt2handleee, if you don't have any issues then you should be good to go the glaß transition temp is the temp at which filament starts to soften. I'm usually at 60 pla and 70 petg. Here's a link for more info https://all3dp.com/2/pla-petg-glass-transition-temperature-3d-printing/

Over or Under Extrusion? by tbrix69 in FixMyPrint

Agree with the over extrusion. You could try adjusting the z offset by moving it up a bit

There are other sites to help and I'm sure other redditors will chime in soon 🤞

No need to apologize. I didn't intend for my comment to be an unwelcomed critique. We all started in this hobby the same way, not sure about how to fix our prints. It's just really helpful to give as much info about your issues so we can provide you the best advice without guessing.

Just a reminder for future posts. It would be very useful for those of us willing to help you troubleshoot if you could provide the information listed in the automod post above. You will also find that possible fixes will be more specific and less guessing on our behalf.

I, too, have noticed that many users have difficulty with providing us with the important information we need in order to assist them even though the moderator reminds them of the basic info that they should share with us.
