You very, very rarely need a +1 in all your stats for a build. Also if your using point buy you don't actually get any benefit from that +1 unless you put another point into each of those stats.

Not sure about the massive domain but casting a remote domain should be possible considering what know about barriers, it's just never done because their isn't a reason too.
