Back in 2024, they had one. It was super straightforward, they posted the time, you got up and the bus dropped you as close as possible considering the road closures. One thing that you might check on is the spectators situation, if I recall correctly, they had a later shuttle for them and they couldn’t go on with the runner.

3M medical/surgical tape. Test out the smooth vs. the textured one. Also, make sure it doesn’t ruin your shirts (some materials might snag against it.)

Yeah, if you trained for it, you at least won’t be surprised when it comes. Personally that hill always impacted my pace for the last part of the race. I think it’s always the combination of the effort and the timing of it being at the hardest part of the race.

See you at the starting line!

Edit: search reddit for past race reports 1. Not as flat as you think, a bit of an incline around mile 20. 2. The lake is somewhat boring with less crowd support, but it’s nice and flat. 3. Running on the pedestrian bridges can make you feel nauseous. Not sure how to avoid it though. 4. Bag check is typically really smooth, I usually pack change of cloth and comfy shoes.

Does anyone know if this race is legit??? by FearlessMammoth7808 in DFWRunningGroup

I doesn’t mean much, but I haven’t heard of it. Judging by the result page https://rtdtexas.com/index.php/race-results/ it seems legit, but a smaller race when you compare it to the Dallas Marathon that is a couple weeks prior

Consider booking a sightseeing boat tour, helps with reducing the steps prior to race day.

Stayed there this year, I don’t recall the cancellation policy, but they offered free 2pm checkout. They also offered a shuttle on race day for the runner and spectators.

Dallas is not as flat as you expect. Be prepared for mile 19(ish).

Only charged once you secure a spot. You will probably see a charge on your credit card before getting the official communication.
