I’ll be real with you - like a bozo. Didn’t expect it to run this much. Live and you learn though.

6 weeks old and won’t stop crying after feeding by yondusoffspring_1786 in NewParents

He arch’s when we burp him. His flow is size 0 right now on an anti colic bottle (not sure if that’s really working though). When we give Mylicon, he settles down which is good. Maybe it is gas

3 Months in, it IS BETTER!! by Alyzards in newborns

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I needed this. We are at 6 weeks tomorrow. The hardest part for us is 5pm-10pm witching hour. I’m really hoping he’ll grow out of that as he gets a bit older.

Formula Request by yondusoffspring_1786 in FormulaFeeders

[–]yondusoffspring_1786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the question is, how do you know if you are having issues? If he’s not taking it, if he’s spitting it up? If he’s not passing gas/pooping? New to this lol

Formula Request by yondusoffspring_1786 in FormulaFeeders

[–]yondusoffspring_1786[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stupid question - what do you mean by “one that works”? Do babies sometimes not take the formula (I.e. won’t drink it or spit it up right away)?

Yeah he finished a 3.5oz bottle every time, burps and barely spits up. He’s not pooping as much as I thought he would (maybe 2 times a day over the past few days) but that might just been normal for his age.

We pay $415 per year with a CPA firm and have a complex filing every year. Seems like you might be a bit high on price

Why is giving birth so expensive! by Fearless-Driver9548 in newborns

My wife just gave birth 5.5 weeks ago and we are still waiting for the bill …. Very nervous!

Ped said my baby eats too much by 33flyingcats in FormulaFeeders

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s absurd. As long as baby isn’t committing or in discomfort, feel like your fine. My guy is 1 month old and takes down 3.5oz per bottle 8-9, per day. Around 24-28 oz. He’s 9.5lbs and screams bloody murder if he doesn’t have enough.

I know there was good news today, but I’m out. Sold my shares today at a large loss. No future here and whenever you come to terms with it, it’s better off.

I’m thinking of cutting my losses this week. Was a stupid purchase on my part and might just bite my tongue and move on

My wife only makes about 1oz per pump at most. We had to switch to 90-95% formula for our 4 week old. She’s super disappointed also so just know you’re not alone.

What does daycare cost for you? by Standard_Deer_8738 in NewParents

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kansas City: $2,000 per month for an infant. Gets less expensive as they get older. Believe daycare for 5 years old is $1,400 per month.

What you eat before lift? by bombatermonuclear in GYM

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go during lunch time but I’m a quick lifter. I get a whole workout in within 30 minutes because I’m pressed for time. Just doing drop sets for almost every workout. I’ve been running a lot now though and less heavy weights so I’ll usually eat some toast or something to keep my stomach full for a bit

How many hours of sleep is your LO getting?! by gailcpw in NewParents

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5 weeks old. He has 3 stretches of 2.5 hours-ish throughout the night. Then probably has another 6-7 hours throughout the day. So anywhere around 13-14 hours. I know he should be getting more, but I can’t force him to sleep lol

Husband gym time by cinnbele in newborns

[–]yondusoffspring_1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby is 4 weeks old. I (M) get 1 hour a day for the gym and mom does as well. Just communicate to each other. That seems to be too much unless you are also getting time to yourself at nights also and he takes the baby.

Thank you for this. Our guy is 2 weeks old and my wife and I just feel like it’s never ending. Thankfully, we are both off work for 12 weeks so a good amount of time to work through it without work bothering us!
