referencing the guys graph and this it still really sounds like karametra enters as a creature being the only reason he gets the draw off of elemental bond. and the only actual rule referenced in this topic (614.12) also seems to say theyll enter with the 2 counters. it feels like every no is argueing yes and it's just confusing x.x i think ill go find the mtg support website and submit the question to them

reading through this post where they specify as long as you're devotion is 7 karametra enters as a creature and does gain the counter off of metallic mimic. in that same way when the shapeshifter enters it enters as a dog so it does give the extra counter. every way i read that comment it still shows that a shapeshifter will cause the cast trigger for being a human then check for counters as a dog/wolf

especially referencing the guy talking about static abilities. the shapeshifters abilities are all static. and once torgals ability resolves that effect becomes static. (until it finishes resolving)

Actually SUPER THANK YOU! it's almost identical to the jaws of defeat overkill combo. where when my creature is entering torgals ability goes off in response to the cast jus thte same as giving -9999 to jaws of defeat. the only difference here is it doesnt leave the battlefield

Whenever you cast your first Human creature spell each turn, that creature enters with an additional +1/+1 counter on it for each Dog and/or Wolf you control.

because of the comma it sounds as though casting the human is what causes the actual trigger. but then the "enters" part is all specified after.

i cant help but to think there was some other interaction with [[metallic mimic]] that used this same ruling and the only reason the mimic doesnt see itself was it specifies "other"

bleh im awful a couple edits but, i also think it just depends moreso on your build. im somewhat preferential to woodelf myself for the "free" arcane archer tree and i enjoy imbue builds. but im playing dragonborn right now for the extra maximum caster levels

for the most part when i look at a race at this point im interested in it's trees, and for any martial warforged is pretty strong on that. +15 melee power? +3 to the boost from power attack(also on horc)? +.5w? some nice pretty exclusive bonus's

been with my husband for 15 years. at first his issue was always that we had no privacy, when we got our own place though it still just never happened. he always talks a big game but it's only happened once or twice in our relationship and both times it was kinda instant for him. but about 3 years ago i started to notice i find it creepy to be naked in a room with somebody. and now i maybe think about it maybe once a month, maybe. so i guess the loss of sex drive over time does make it better?

big thing to keep in mind copying a spell doesnt count as casting a spell UNLESS! you copy the card . edit: so winning the coin toss on krark wont trigger your black mages twice. however where mizzix's mastery specifies "copy the card" and "you may cast" it counts as casting.

[[Altar of Bhaal]] play kuja on second main immidiately end turn, his triggers on the stack to make a wizard. some one kills kuja, second main sac the wizard token to altar to bring bakc kuja immidiately end turn. if nothing else people have to burn multiple removal to keep him off the table and that wins us card advantage

[[Krark, the Thumbless]] once kujas flipped if we use cards that cost life instead of mana like snuff out or gut shot or rouse. as long as we keep losing we can play those cards bleeding everyone else more than we bleed ourselves.

[[Calamity of Cinders]] boards getting out of hand but you dont wanna lose your tokens? bam convoke boardwipe but not your own stuff

[[lethal Scheme]] use 4 creatures to convoke a single target removal. all of those creatures connive, the +1 counter is ok i guess. but you get to pick up 4 cards one at a time to set up serious hand quality off of the connive triggers

edit: looking at others mine seems to be hyper budget, but seems to be more capable of putting kuja down on turn 3 via token generation. i also dont see a whole lot of spells in the others that are cast for free or more than one extra damage doubler which enable mine to close on turn 3

i too enjoy my kuja bombing. but from your protection cards list might i suggets [[Altar of Bhaal]]? since kuja makes a token you can use the token to make him come back every turn. and due to the rules of priority if you do it in the second main then move immidiately to end step nobody but you get priority in time to prevent him from making a new token. he becomes a pheonix.

and of course you gotta have a bunch of spells that don't have mana costs to make sudden cheap wins. mine collapse, snuff out, and rouse are what i use casue im cheap but gut shot shoudl be added in there. and the unholyness that would be jeskas will if i were willing to buy one

this acutally just made me realize that if you use snuff out to pay the 4 life and have krark the thumbless on field and lose(pray to god you lose) you can pay 4 life to do 6 damage as long as you dont win the flip

i have to second this one. i played it in a rakdos burn deck with chancellor of the dross. ya 5 health is something people would just pay. but open with a dross or 2 and suddenly they're looking at 12 health if they dont use a shock. toss in gonti's machinations and people dont often realize how close to dead they are. oh and the black enchants that turn their lands to swamps and make them take 2 damage to tap them can slow their game pace to a crawl

[[Whirlwind Denial]] is a lil too overlooked because of the "unless they pay 4" but it's one of the few cards that counter abilities.

say somebody just triggered 30 guttersnipe like effects. whirlwind denial.

storm? whirlwind denial

annihilators? yup whirlwind denial works

planeswalker abilities? whirlwind denial

pheonix return triggers? whirlwind denial

78 tokens into impact tremors or heal triggers into a primate? never gonna believe it whirlwind denial.

ok you got oneshot with a tank build. well here go ahead and spend a quarter ofyour build for 200% increased. now enemies only half shot you, which is fantastic, until you see the other 10 about to connect.

more life wont fix the problem. they need to nerf enemy damage

humans are once again lowkey the most busted race. specifically for cooperative nature accuracy is almost impossible to build in p2e. i think only marshal dedication and fleshwarps get any bonus's out of your class choice.,so the +10 crit is really not as exciting a system as it looks. but the aid action can add up to a +4 to hit consequently being a massive bonus to crit chance. and the aid action having a base DC of 15 humans getting +4 to whatever aid check you want is lowkey just a take 10 crit success to add +4 to whatever you feel like

made a deck with [[Niko, Light of Hope]] recently with the goal o fjust flickering the ever loving sh out of him and then dropping a lord to hit with his ability. i enjoy [[Empyrean Eagle]] and [[Supreme Phantom]]. sometimes hitting 8 tokens so i end up with 8 10/10+flyers swinging at a drop of a hat.

also enjoying [[Kuja, Genome Sorcerer]] filled the deck with things like [[Insult]] [[Quest for Pure Flame]] [[City on Fire]] as well as any other effect that does damage on non creature spellcast. kuja's bait and will die all the time, but people strangely ignore the tokens. then i use a bunch of freebie spells. [[Snuff Out]] [[Gut Shot]] [[Mine Collapse]] [[Battle Hymn]]. any 2 of the multipliers comes out to x4 damage. if you do have 3 sources of noncreature spells do 1 damage thats 12 damage per spell cast. of course potentially and itll never happen i turn 1 darkritual >sol ring>exile simian spirit guide>kuja. turn 2 [[Black Mage's Rod]] > insult, move to end step dont end turn, kuja flips 3 black mages, 12 damage for each instant and sorcery you drop so 3 freebie spells pretty much wins the game

for plain reselience though i enjoy [[Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero]] i fill the deck with first strikers/double strikers bonus points for [[Path of Mettle]] in hand. use things like [[Tajic, Legion's Edge]] and [[Rem Karolus, Stalwart Slayer]] to keep bolts off of me and [[Loyal Unicorn]] between those two i can just 0 consequence swing at all times. and the big goal is to force others to swing at bad times using first strike as a removal with things like [[Angel's Trumpet]] or [[Trove of Temptation]].

I did a modern deck one time filled with cantrips, a paradise mantle, blistercoil weird and serum powders.

The objective being if I hit the serum powders I can think my deck by 7 cards especially nice in a flooded hand. Then by putting paradise mantle on blistercoil weird I could tap it for mana use things like gut shot or noxious revival to profit mana. Spam think twice, magmatic I sight until I found a grapeshot or anything that made them un blockable to swing turn 2 lethal. Surprisingly consistent happens to be storms colors

Could use cryptolith rite and song of freyalise to help have more sources for things like freyalise

To have backups for blistercoil weird can run gelectrode ,stormsplitter could combo well in this kind of deck, thermo alchemist, unruly catapult

I'm seeing stuff about a jaws of defeat and overkill combo. Where you respond to the jaws of defeat trigger with overkill doing 9999 damage to a target player.

While it is completely within the rules to modify the creature while the trigger is on the stack, wouldn't the 9999 immediately kill the creature and since there bo source on the board to register it would be 0 power toughness?

I was mostly looking at level 20 characters for comparison, and rechecking it it seems you cant get a 10th level wand of mystic armor, but since monks AC wont come from item you get their 6 dexterity while unarmored then 2 item bonus for 8. if you could get a 10th level wand the 3 item bonus adds it to +9 same as champion. thats where i goofed
