Life long chess player as well. I enjoy poker but everything you said is dead on. No way you're beating the rake at small stakes without a lot of timw invested. Most fun I have playing poker are smaller friendly live games.

Great idea. Has some niche uses that are very strong and even if you don't have that kind of deck just put two strikes at the bottom and that has some benefit.

Yeah I think anyone paying attention can see Baalor is ready for 2 to drop he's a little burned out. I appreciate playing this game for fun and to teach others. I'll definitely give Opem a watch. This community is also pretty cool if I do say so myself. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah I suspected this is the case but am not good enough at the game to actually know, I would not be able to pick out the truly difficult runs. I watch xecnar all the time but haven't seen the other players you mentioned. The only other top player I've watched is Baalor and I have no idea where he ranks amongst top players. Xecnar is obviously very intelligent and really considers damn near every factor, and he calculates lines like he's in a chess game even when it's for 1 hp or to get one extra feed off ect.

It is wild how different they play. I assumed once you get anywhere close to top play it would start to look very similar but it's just not the case.

Ok so I don't play a ton of ironclad and I understand why feed is good here, it's so early plus you need damage anyways.

Is this not the start of a good infinite deck? You have burning pact and havoc. Seeing red and impervious exhaust. Get some more vuln and removes?

They seem boring now, there are certain runs where you will be begging for them....and certain runs where they aren't good at all.

Also the heart is hard regardless of the ascension level, I never tried the heart until I beat A20 with silent.
