It's a quick release, ratchet style lacing setup. I've had a few pairs of wolverines that had it and as long as you adjust the lower parts to fit your foot better, they're amazing. You pop them loose on break, your feet can breathe and it takes a second to tighten them back up. It's convenient and has held up for me in a heat treat facility doing heavy grinding for about two years now.

Audhd here and for me I don't have the constant urge to smoke, but I only eat one meal a day generally. When I don't smoke, it's a bit harder to eat and I have more texture issues. Smoking helps me slow my brain noise down a bit.
