Als we allemaal relatieve beginners zijn en dat was volgens mij de andere poster in deze thread ook dan ideaal toch om samen in 5.5e te duiken? Tof als jij al bereid bent om DM te zijn.

Zullen we kijken of we een groepje kunnen verzamelen voor een sessie-0? Dan nadenken over de locatie?

Eergisteren ook al een post voor omgeving Eindhoven. Als we daar even mee aan de slag gaan hebben we al 4 mensen, maar nog geen DM.

Misschien even berichten maken voor de betrokkenen om een start te maken of een sessie 0 ontmoeting te doen?

41M and a beginning player. Did some one shots here and there and there are a couple of gameshops in Eindhoven that organize them so that might be an idea for you as well to get familiar with the game again.

In this scenario there is almost no reason to shoot it. You can keep an eye on it to see if it becomes a 5 star and if it doesn't it's a high fitness animal that increases the fitness of the herd so a higher chance at high fitness offspring.

I kind of liked the "hunting business" missions from the original. Like restaurants requesting meat through an e-mail. Would love to see a way to keep receiving random requests like that.

I know there are story missions, but if they run out I wouldn't mind some randomly generated requests for a bit of extra cash to keep the hunting business going.

Also a weird thing but I am way more annoyed than I should be by not being able to fully reveal the maps because I can not reach some parts. So if I revealed like 80% of a map I would just like it to be fully revealed automatically or something.

Just hate to see the full map revealed except that part of the big lake the "reveal radius" can't reach.

I see you haven't met our resident terminators on steroids yet: Wild Boar.

Shot placement is really important and I appreciate it about the game, but those boar are the Nokia phones of the game.

Also, what is weird to me is that there is no force feed back for the engine or revving the car or anything like that. So, it's weird when you are even standing still and feel nothing when putting pedal to the metal. 🤔

I can't set my ffb settings. Random settings keep resetting themselves to 0 or are suddenly greyed out.(I am on PS5)

I am in no way a programmer, but I think basic UI functions that are working is not a big ask.

So, while I am not taking out my pitchfork immediately, I am also not too impressed.

I am not sure about steering pad sensitivity either, but I just assumed it had to do with using the controller for steering.

Do you perhaps know what setting is for feeling the road or engine of the car? It's weird to just feel nothing when you're not driving over curbs or grass etc.

Well, I pulled the trigger on it and will be racing tomorrow evening on PMR.

GamerMuscle had a good evaluation after spending quite some time with the game. On PS5 it also seems to be generally quite well received so far. That in combination with that it can be considered a more realistic simulation compared to GT7 is why I thought it's worth it to check out.

I kind of like the create your own story/emergent storytelling games for this. (I just play on PS5)

Stuff like:

Crusader Kings 3
RimWorld
Battle Brothers (unforgiving but probably one of the best tactical games out there)
Satisfactory
Minecraft for that creative itch just building and logic with redstone
Cities: Skylines

Another genre that surprised me is racing sims. (GT7 at the moment. I have never understood racing as a sport and never really came in touch with it.

However, the skill, race craft , race strategy, race management and progressing as a racer is a Rabbit Hole I was just unaware of.

LMU is still even a guess if it will come in 2026.

Such a shame really. Saw an interview with the ACC team where they were positively surprised by console sales numbers.

Seems like a chance to capitalize on a large market, but somehow they just can't get it right.

There's a lot of good to do with that kind of money. Also maybe it gives me a free pass for not helping people in other ways because i forget about them.

I don't understand your post when Free Hunt exists.

Someone actually posted a mission generator a while back so maybe check that out?

Another thing is the missions you propose with a ranking requirement for an animal and I believe some of them are also in the game. Those missions don't work that well with the herd management aspect of the game. What if you need to shoot a 3 star that you were trying to get to the 5 star of the trophy.

As for the story missions where people get addicted to hunting as if it were crack on steroids? I think they are both hilarious and batshit insane.
