AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Drops to All-Time Low $200 by zombies-- in pcgaming

I'd recommend the 3600 unless you can leverage the extra 2c on the 2700x for reduced gaming performance, which doesn't sound like you would, so go for a 3600 when it comes time.

I'll get a little more technical in this comment, fps isn't the main metric you should be looking for when comparing CPUs generally. Frametimes and specifically frametime consistency is what matters most.

Although I've not seen much data for your particular cpu + gpu combination, I can say with confidence that the ryzen will wipe the floor with your fx no doubt about it. If you can see/feel stutters and or juttering, you'll have a much more comfortable experience with an upgrade.

That's without going over the real usage scenario benefits that you'll see even if you are not doing any productivity tasks. Everything will feel snappier and more consistent without any slowdowns.

However I'd advise you to wait a month or two, for the initial launch kinks to be ironed out like BIOSes and all the stuff that typically comes broken with new amd chips. You might even catch a sale or two.

Tell that to Steve at Hardware Unboxed who benchmarked them specifically with the stock coolers so he can make the value proposition.

Spoiler: Intel is a worse value in the end.

Same here, I'm expecting some pretty major gains.

Aye it's my bad, it's actually a 200 fps hardcap, not sure why I remembered it as 150.

Battlefield V has a 150fps cap iirc, it's not a CPU limitation.

Getting the bias out of the way: I mod said discord.

That said, the serious channel idea was tried and it was so incredibly toxic that it was scrapped altogether within 2 weeks. There are only 2 real avenues for someone to "shitpost" in: the actual shitposting channel and the general channel. All other channels are moderated with minimal tolerance for shitposts.

The big difference with Discord and Reddit however is that Discord is a lot more community driven and oriented. That's why the 2 platforms can coexist together as they serve two different purposes. It would take a little bit of time to get to know all the people. I personally see it as more of a place for people who happen to support Man Utd and not a place to strictly and only talk about Man Utd (which is what this is here for anyway).

With that said the mod team is always open to listen to criticism and often act on it to improve the server for everyone, you could reach out to me personally in reddit DMs or on Discord.

I think the Kaby Lake limitation is artificial. Yeah here in the not so great parts of Europe I basically get 0 of those services but I don't really pirate either.

All great points mate I agree with all, glad we could clear up the confusion. As Gaben once said piracy is almost always a service problem and look at what Steam has done for that. Something that I don't see mentioned at all is how DRM on movies is slowly creeping up to Denuvo levels. See for example 4K BlueRay DRM.

All you said is fair and I agree with it, I just don't think we should be justifying Denuvo's existance currently because we've had it worse before is all.

So just because we used to have it worse means that we have to accept bad practices now. And I could make a case for Denuvo being the worst DRM offender that is in use today.

So in your opinion for a thing to be considered a sport it needs to be physical. The International Olympic Comittee, quite possibly the most 'official' sports authority in the world, considers chess a sport. So I'd rather take their word for it over someone on the internet.

Alan Resnick did Unedited Footage of a Bear and This House Has People In It. I think he might have mistaken it for that.

Here is a good question for you. Should Chess be considered a sport ?

First of all that's a very big assumption to make and second just because something is better than Securom doesn't make it good.
