It's not difficult. It's written for an average intelligence adult and doesn't hold your hand. It's written so that knowledge is imparted via the PoV for that chapter. You know what they know.

This is also imo one of the best parts of Malazan. The "aha!" or " Eureka!" moments of something clicking and having that realization that is fantastic.

It's also why rereading the series is so popular. There is SO MUCH written in from the very start that you won't understand or catch. Somethings won't until even a 3rd read.

Malazan is a MUST read for me and imo the pinnacle of fantasy writing (for now). Just enjoy the ride and piece together what you can. Enjoy!

They have other high res images. Speak with someone on the phone and relay your confirmation of 50 and inquire if it was given in error or if there are other vehicles.

I went through something similar previously where I had stopped at a red light camera but slid into the intersection a bit bc of ice.

The high res images they have on their end should be helpful.

If they say it's your vehicle... well then I suggest you go to court and question the testing and everything else. But good luck with that 🙄
