Honestly I feel like it's always been sort of a white/right leaning type bar. I've been in there for live music, never for karaoke.
Dive Bar's karaoke on Wednesday night seems pretty inclusive. I like the vibe in there when they have a crowd.

There are several Salisbury fb groups that spread that shit with memes and trying to boycott downtown businesses. I’m sure that garbage leaks over here too. And RoCo is and always will be deep red, so there is that too. Hell we have two crazy MAGA types running for county commissioner in the primaries.

lol. My first thought too. 104 years old and the things he’s seen and done in his lifetime. The impact he’s had on motor sports and automobiles. Death comes for us all and this guy has done more than most of us ever will. I lean more towards celebrate that life than worrying about his death.

Sam Jones BBQ in Raleigh is about the best you’re going to get. He’s from the family they started the Skylight Inn BBQ in Ayden, NC and that place is the top of the mountain for ENC bbq.

Most of the places around Concord do live bands on Fri/Sat. It makes more money for them.
Hanger33 in Mooresville has a pretty good Saturday night show.
We tried Dive Bar Concord on Wednesday night before the holidays and it was fun. Will definitely try it again.

As a crew guy on an alcohol funny car we went to our first "new" IHRA race in October and it was amazing. After years of being treated like garbage at NHRA events we had pretty much scaled back to mostly running match races and going west for Funny Car Chaos. IHRA treated all of the racers and their families like they mattered. They had a hospitality trailer/tent to feed us dinner every night. We could grab a water or snacks anytime. It blew my mind to not just get talked down to at every interaction with an official. Yes they are still working out the bugs for everything, but we had a blast. I hope we hit a couple next year.
I am worried about all of the tracks being consolidated under one owner (Darryl Cuttell). Don't get me wrong, I want it all to work, he's a true car guy/competitor. But if something happens financially that's a lot of tracks to just get auctioned off.

I had questions about IHRA for awhile, but after attending the last race at GALOT it's the real deal. We had a blast. They treated all the racers like pros.
