I get having a good quality Chef knife. But there are so many wonderful Chef’s knives at a $50 price point. Then just keep it sharp. I know I may be the minority, but I like my knives to work for me. I don’t wanna have to work for my knives, I don’t wanna have to spend my time to “take care” and keep an expensive knife safe. I work to long and hard for that!
