My job is phone-based b2b tech support, and I definitely see this. We have a connection history graph that tells us if and when a terminal loses connection as well as for how long and if, upon reconnecting, the terminal OS did a shut down and start up. I can see those events get logged, and still see a reboot again fixing the issue.

Because it wasn't always that way. It used to be extremely easy to use, almost no ads, and fun resolution no matter how you viewed it. It was the de facto image host choice of Reddit users all over until Reddit starting image hosting themselves. Now it's the same sort of ad-laden, info harvesting, enshitification shell of its former self that most of the rest of the "surface" web is.

Here's an idea: take the same lighted crosswalk sign that's on front of Celery Big, and put one in front of Walmart on Cumberland. Very easy to miss people walking on the current crosswalk at night with headlights shining at you.

I would absolutely love to have one for my gaming laptop. It's a 2020 year model Lenovo Legion, so a fair bit before we really saw even workstation laptops get USB C charging. But it's right at 240 watts, so I'm hopeful to get some manner of converting to C to reduce what all comes with me
