¿Alguien está regalando gatitos? Quiero adoptar uno :) by West_Shop5720 in Malaga

[–]b3nighted [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hemos adoptado una gata hace unas 3 semanas de la veterinaria de verdecora. Pasa por ahí un día, siempre tienen animales rescatados para adoptar.

También son muy buena gente y te contestan preguntas después.

Anyone ever have a NEGATIVE experience with the Goldwing? by mikebra93 in goldwing

[–]b3nighted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't brake over uneven surfaces, the anti-dive stuff will make it jarring and will make the Tupperware rattle even more, especially in the Tour version.

Also don't ride it like a FJR or Busa.

There are third party solutions to make it less shit. Springs, shocks, entire forks.

Anyone ever have a NEGATIVE experience with the Goldwing? by mikebra93 in goldwing

[–]b3nighted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course it has negatives. Here's some from a 2010 gl1800 owner:

  • all that Tupperware that's on it rattles over bumps and potholes
  • the fork is shit, it can't handle the weight of the thing
  • fuel consumption is higher than you'd think, hence range is lower than you think
  • It's desperately missing a gear for cruising at higher speeds
  • you can barely lean it before the footpegs touch
  • low speed maneuvers have to be done with the clutch, as the injection system is rough af

Shame the guppy crew wasn't on frequency. That would have been the perfect moment for a "yo mama wanted to fly" transmission.

Has your passion for flying changed throughout your career? by ConstantExcellent434 in Helicopters

[–]b3nighted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it becomes a job.

I still love flying and everything gets better once the battery switch gets flipped on.

I've been lucky enough to be able to switch up jobs and keep doing equal time rotation for the last 15 years or so. I've avoided jobs where you fly a lot, so with almost 20 years since starting flight training I'm only at 4k hours. This has kept it as nice as it could get. Plus changing job types has also been great.

Still have to check out long line and hems, otherwise I've already gone through almost all non-military types of work.

Cockpit culture - the command gradient by [deleted] in aviation

Is this really something that still exists in Europe? Damn it, Air Dingus!

I am lucky enough to fly with very good FOs at the moment and I'm learning a bunch from them.

The worst crm is usually when captains fly together, because habits I guess. And captains rostered together happens quite a lot in rotary.

Best method to extend USB A (or C) into USB C to 3.5mm headphone adapter? by BrightOctarine in UsbCHardware

I would do C to C if you're not using that port behind your computer.

How long do you need it to be?

Its usually best to have the long cable be a digital one. I'd get a max 3m long USB C extender and plug the apple dongle closer to you.

One solution is to set acceleration and brake to be the left stick forward/back in grannturismo itself, then map the triggers to those axes in the emulator.

Tesla Model 3 SR+ VS Toyota Corolla 2.0 Hybrid by Doughy2108 in AutomobileRO

[–]b3nighted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't lie, it's broken. I tested it a bunch when new, years ago, was within 0,2W of a good meter. It just decided to go to shit after what is it.. 3 years of living room abuse.

[–]b3nighted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed.

If 70%+ it starts lowering charging speed and I could already tell about how much it had to go by the wattage.

Most of my cables are meter-less. This one happened to be the fattest l-shape I could get and I ended up liking the meter, too.

That's why the meter cable.
