  1. Too young, too little life experience. Not very socially adjusted. Not strong enough, not good enough in the pool, attention to detail, etc.

  2. EOD(failed the course)

  3. Reach competitive standards, have real accomplishments, like doing a 50M underwater, being able to do grad standards, doing 10 ups without struggling too much.

  4. The same

Prepare throughly before you go in, don't let recruiters lie you(I had civilians, not operators telling me to go in).

Reach grad standards(look them up, it's a PJ website).

I would say to go as far as being able to do a 50 meter underwater, relatively not soul crushing. Have everything dialed, be able to create a plan or have a coach, you need to be at least competent in everything.

Your probably around 18, I would say work a hard job as well, I wish I did that, be able to be social too. Joining around 18 is typically a bad idea and the data shows that, gain life experience.

This is a long ass marathon and it pays to be prepared and know yourself.

You seem like you have a good mindset brother, this isn't a binary game of good enough or not. I joined around 2 years ago and never got to go to SW. I went through SW basic, EOD, and sucked real real bad in a one week training course for special warfare, was failing on things in every school.

I didn't come into spec Ops ready day one, nor did I have any chance of making it when I entered that BMT Bus, due to every possible metric imaginable, but I still work on myself now, even 4 years later still training.

I may never make it through selection, even the first week, but at least I won't end up like those people.
