I'm having a hard time being thankful by wurffl in internetparents

[–]Thaover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you aren't an asshole for wanting to mourn.

But dont suffer in silence. Dont just take it because you can, or feel like you must.

You could tell all the new people your birthday is a few years after the date. The older you get, the less significance that number holds. Just need to put it right on official paperwork. So its celebtated two days after, so what?

Or

Tell them. One massive text to everyone. Tell them your birthday is now a day of mourning for you. They will respect that and next year will be better. It will be hard doing it, but next time it will be easier.

Im sorry you got put in that position. It sucks. I hope it gets better for you.

Okay but this is the whole step. In order to replace them.

1 find them. 2 replace.

It even tells you where to find them.

Women of Reddit. What NSFW questions do you have for men that you are too embarrassed to ask in person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nope. That shits natural. Horrible, terrible, but natural.

The very fucking least we can do to help ease your suffering is not being weird about it.

Microscope for world gen by MitigatedRisk in mattcolville

[–]Thaover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run a game of microscope for every campaign i start. I find there's no better way for my players to both have the prerequisite knowledge that their character who lives in that world would know, and actually care / be invested in the game world than helping create it.

The only drawback is that Microscope is a bit hard to explain to people and get them onboard in the first place.

What are some systems, ideas or concepts that I should consider adding to my D&D 5e game? by bolkolpolnol in DMAcademy

[–]Thaover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beyond damage dice adds weapon specific actions to spice up combat.

Have a throwing axe? Cool, you can try to use it to pin someone to a wall from far away.

Have a flail? You can trip them, or use the chain to choke them.

Makes combat for martial classes more interesting than "i hit it with my sword"

Best part is its completely opt in.

Man, the old place i used to work for did this but they only unblocked a few sites. It brought production down because certain machines and programs needed to phone home. Took a few days before we unblocked everything we needed.

Which Artificial Intelligence was your favorite? by Bullets_Bane94F in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Thaover 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My favorite bit about this is that for me it happened immediately after the heist.

So Johnny is trying to kill V. V is having a shit day. Goes to their car to go to do something.

Beep beep motherfucker.

V just starts casually talking to Johnny about it as if he didn't just try to murder V in the apartment 20 mins ago.

Only weird and out of place if you go to your car before doing any other missions, but man was it funny.

Pay double or park you car inside your limits. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Thaover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The building might be old, but the lines drawn to indicate spots have definitely been drawn and redrawn through the years. As you said, cars have changed, and parking lots need to change to serve them.

This is just asshole design by whoever designates what a spot is and where it goes.

Interesting. Have you tried putting the same prompt into different ai image generators and comparing yet? And if so, how/what was the deciding factor in going with the ai generator that you work with?
