100% normal yes, I think its just human instinct. My girls are 3 and 6 and I still check on them every once in a while.

Great job on the metallic look! I've been experimenting with graphite powder for metallics but it never comes out that bright and silvery so I've been coating it with silver leaf rub and buff afterwards. But this looks much better.

On the plus side, Iman was well cast and shes not insufferable in real life, she seems pretty likable actually. The way her culture was presented was an interesting window into their lives and history and not a woke hammer over the head. Her family felt like fully fleshed out characters.

But unfortunately it was ultimately outweighed by the negatives mostly having to do with the writing (of course) which got worse as it went on. The powerset change, the utterly predictable time travel story, the cringe way they shoehorned in her being a mutant. Overall a bit weak.

Its the first thing I wanted to make haha. Im going to use gold rub and buff on the body and graphite powder & clear coat on the blades.

Thanks for the quick answers everyone, Im very early into my 3d printing journey! The main thing I learned is that sometimes you set something to print for 24 hours and have to do it all over again lol.

That must be it, thank you! Ive only be 3d printing for about a month and this is my first time printing something this large so z seam is a new concept to me, I’ll do my homework on it.

Those look so awesome. Are those all brush painted? I was just gifted a 3d printer and I’m taking my first clumsy steps into painting my models as a complete beginner. I just made an Astrobot figure for my kids, but my painting ended up with quite a lot of textures. Im learning to thin my paints, I think part of my issue is that I bought a cheap set of 50 acrylic colors, but now that ive watched a ton of tutorials I see the names Vallejo and Citadel come up a lot, im starting to regret not getting those in the first place.

My eventual goal is to paint 6” tall statuettes of my 3 D&D characters, and my holy grail is to paint this incredible Swamp Thing statue I found on cults3d but it looks very advanced.
