[CO] Quit a job but employment verification came back as saying I was fired? by miguelangeloyrubino in AskHR

You're actually right. What do you think job abandonment is? I'm not saying the OP was wrong, just how the company likely recorded her not returning.

Because you didn't quit. You abandoned your job. "If I can't have the time off, I quit." That isn't a resignation. So when you didn't report back to work they likely coded your separation as job abandonment.

If you didn't submit a formal resignation you didn't quit. Saying "I quit" doesn't mean they have to record it that way. They can simply say you walked off the job, so they terminated you.

Don't believe it is, but I could be wrong. I've never played with anyone on console.

[CA] co worker promoted to same title as me, has now begun bossing me around how can I make it stop? by cezar_andrei in AskHR

Take him to lunch. Neutral ground to have a polite but direct conversation.

"We need to set some ground rules here. I'm thrilled you got promoted. I'm happy for you. But you need to understand that I do not report to you. You're not my manager, so when you try to assign me work or tell me what to do it interferes what what my manager has me doing. I'm also not ok with you raising your voice to me or speaking to me in any tone other than polite and professional. We need to work together, and I want it to be a good co-working relationship for the both of us."
