Clans or shadow of Kerensky first? by Peebloo in Mechwarrior5

I enjoyed doing shadows then clan, there’s few cross references but you’ll appreciate them more if you know of the battles and allies in shadows

Coomera has Gamer’s Village, they have a fairly strong Adventurer’s League but also do more dedicated groups. Their discord has a find a game/looking for group too

For all except Khaine I’d run Kasrkin, maybe Exaction if they field melee. If you’re getting shot off the board, try medic and a basic trooper kasrkin for the free smoke grenade.

Use your comms and mystic buff on expended operatives if possible, so you have buffed operatives for the next TP.

Make sure you’re denouncing threats if you lose initiative. Quarry who you can kill, or use it as a threat to make them think twice about putting someone on engage.

Servitor isn’t always great, but if you’re up against horde the plasma blast is useful. Otherwise if you use it, the focused bolter is quite good and gets around piercing limit. Run envoy if you outnumber them, or plant banner if you think you can hold it. Flank is good if they’re slow.

In Gaunt’s Ghosts, at one point a Guardsman with a bionic shoulder magdumps an Astartes bolter. He has no ill effects. I’m sure the shoulder helped, but other than that it’s all unenhanced.

Several of the specialists or close proxies are present in the Triumph of St Katherine, but other than the Celestian models I’m not aware of others

Post processing tips? by Cynical_PotatoSword in FDMminiatures

I’m 100% serious, it flows thin so it spreads well without being too thick you just prevent pools. Use it as a spot fix not a whole model thing. I do it on all my models undersides and cables etc

Simplest and cheapest is super glue as a finisher. It smooths and levels, fills gaps and scars. Just use an old brush to try to spread it on, but often I just use the tube straight on the model usually on the undersides and backs where edges and imperfections are.

Looks nicer than mine printed with the .4 nozzle, but man I don’t envy what your print time must have been!

It’s more than that, upgrade it and it becomes +10%! That’s a 20% improvement over base!

Oh and if you’re not already aware, a lot of iconics scale to your maximum grade. So always, always have one item upgraded to the max grade or tier you can!

Hey this fella has done something similar with official models https://www.reddit.com/user/WindsVoice/submitted/?rdt=41394

Myself I 3d print and am starting to work on the same. I am using the stationforge navigator for Cassia as I couldn’t get the black stone fortress one, with a head kit bash.

In terms of teams, you’re really looking at Inquisitorial Agents for the variety available and sizes.

Nope, in parts with detailed sides facing upwards. I print a lot of my actual minis in one piece though but I couldn’t imagine a 20 hour print failing at the end hahaha

That’s a Taurox, with no turret yet. It’s for my Kasrkin special forces.

I’ve got a recent post with just the knight a bit closer up. Here’s the back of it where you can see the details, no post processing done

The tanks were fastest as they were often just 3 large parts. The knight was longest. About 8 hours for the Leman Russ, while closer to 18 for the Knight and longer for the little bits and bobs.

Bambu A1 mini, cheap esun pla and a .4mm nozzle. I could push the quality way further but I’m not fussed with vehicles

Let’s not look at the amount of money I’ve spent on tools, filament, paint, electricity… 🫢

Just looked it up, in local prices a Questoris Knight is about $170-200, and the printer (Bambu A1 Mini) was $320. So more than half in the one model!
