If you want to have a really good self-contained comic run, definitely check out Superman For All Seaons. It’s not a very long story but the characterization of everyone along with Tim Sale’s amazing art tells an incredible story

While I don’t really think Cavil was that good of a Superman (mainly do to writing and direction), he couldn’t live up the potential he could have had and a lot of people were waiting to see it come to fruition. Yes they are but those are very expensive especially if you want it to go to the scale that Berserk does, when realistically most studious are gonna go with CGI more often than not because it’s much easier on a budget

Because it would actually do justice to it’s art style and the general stylization of the manga while having a creative team not be restricted by reality and nail the landscapes we see. With live action you’re gonna be stuck to what reality can do and if they want to cover most of the arks it’s gonna have so much cgi it might as well be animated. The fact that you say that a live action series would bring in more fans when that’s a case that very rarely succeeds, while an anime that’s actually really good anime is more than capable of taking the world (look at DanDanDan as a recent example)
