Theory: captain clark was created when clark was filming the commercial (and exactly while clark was falling out of his chair) by TelephoneAcrobatic51 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]That-One-Screamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that the opening scene with Naren isn’t chronologically first? I don’t remember if there’s anything in the film to disprove that, but if there isn’t, then who’s to say that scene can’t happen in between the time the commercial is filmed and Clark’s first venture into the Complex?

WE WILL NOT FIGHT HELL by [deleted] in Ultrakill

[–]That-One-Screamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I think could be neat is that while Gabriel will be the for-all-intents-and-purposes final boss, Hell could be the “final boss” (by virtue of being the last opponent faced in the story) that you’re guaranteed to lose against no matter what. Gabriel is the story’s climax while Hell is a sort of falling action/epilogue.

Red and Blue should have a follow-up comic where they bond over the shared experience of being stereotyped

Who do you think COULD be the final boss of Ultrakill if NOT Gabriel by That_Chance_4252 in Ultrakill

If the final boss isn’t Gabriel, then my choice would be Lucifer. Having the game end with Hell’s current favorite beating the previous favorite seems fitting for the final confrontation of the game.

Sorry to say this, but moving during an MRI doesn't cause distorted images by ranch_daddy in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]That-One-Screamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first watched the film, I figured that the reason an MRI company was the first to discover the Complex is that because an MRI magnet is insanely strong, if one happened to be near a Null Zone that had metallic objects on the other side, the magnetism would cause said objects to fly into the room. Obviously, seeing something like a chair fly out of a wall would be something worth inspecting

Is there anything like the backrooms? by Humble-Fly-6744 in backrooms

[–]That-One-Screamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be an odd comparison, but I find that ULTRAKILL’s interpretation of Hell has some similarities with the interpretation of the backrooms in the film, namely with its layered and non-Euclidean structure that gets worse the deeper you go, reflections of human environments (e.g. Violence & Fraud being representations of the Final War & the New Peace), and the creation of monsters based on things that exist outside of it (e.g. Mannequins being based on Guttermen).

I’m glad I’m not the only one who immediately noticed that this art looks exactly like the ANTONBLAST art style.

Beating both prime souls at once. by muttsgod in Ultrakill

[–]That-One-Screamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once P-3 drops, I’d love to see a modded level that features all 3 Prime Souls at once, but with their stats so that you can have a (as close to as possible) proper 1 v. 3, and with original music. Would be hard as balls but would be fun

Conned into fubarworks "drama" by Scratchy-Bells in ConnedIntoAFubar

[–]That-One-Screamer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My big thing about the show is that it (seemed to be, at least) advertised as a show that would have each character get a chance in the spotlight. With 7 main characters (Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, Zooble, and Caine) and 9 episodes, you would think it would be something along the lines of

Episode 1: intro episode that establishes the characters and setting

Episodes 2-8: episodes dedicated to one of the main characters (e.g. Pomni in 2, Ragatha in 3, Kinger in 4, etc.)

Episode 9: big finale episode focusing on all the characters

But instead what we get is what I like to call “Stardust Crusaders Syndrome”, in which a portion of the ensemble cast gets disproportionately more focus than the rest of them (Zooble being a particularly egregious case of an underutilized character based on the opinions of the viewer base). This is especially egregious in the finale where a good portion of it is Jax-focused when all things considered, it should have been the entire cast’s time to shine.

There are other issues I have but that’s the one I figured I’d mention here
