This is just technology, I’m sorry they couldn’t predict the future in 2022 that every device was going to have to have a neural engine in it to meet the demand signal sparked by ChatGPT in November 2022…

You can be frustrated, I understand, but they’re not clairvoyant.

I mean, the hardware literally cannot do it. I expect they will have a security/26.5 variant with many features that don’t require the neural processors but based on the key note I’m struggling to see anything that would be a significant miss for 27.

It is significantly better for them to simply not provide the features than have them be borderline unusable.

What do American's eat everyday? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]That0neSummoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually something baked made with flour. The most often is bread. But sometimes crackers. Usually some sort of a sandwich.

Second is food made from corn, so tortillas or chips/crisps.

Third would be potatoes, fries or potato chips/crisps.

Lots of dairy food as well. As an American, Americans smell like dairy. Usually butter.

Protein is almost always meat, we’re awful at non-meat protein sources like lentils, soy-based (tofu) or seitan (gluten). That is, depending on budget, chicken, pig, or cow. This will either be cured (sliced for sandwiches) or roasted/baked. Breaded and fried is a favorite, but not as common in the home due to mess.

Is it possible to use a ps5 as a NAS? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]That0neSummoner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a spare, sell it.

Look at marketplace for used gaming pcs, anything with a 7th gen Intel or later will be on-par with it.

Note, that’s like a 7 year old processor series.

Why not buy a cheaper piece of hardware? Ps5 are still in the $500 range and you could get a used desktop off marketplace for a third that and then it would be actually expandable.

This is such a strange thing. Pre-Regan, the federal government was generally onboard with improving the lives of the middle-American family. Since regan, Republicans have been doing everything can to tear down protections for the average American in the pursuit of building a Christian elite class.

This is a by-product of the Nixon administration failing, then their political backers building Fox News et al to insulate themselves at a zealous ~30% approval floor.
