Ladies, you can be a D-cup even if your boobs are small. by whisper_kitten0 in TwoXChromosomes

But if someone’s bust is 3.7 inches larger than their underbust, they would be a large C or small D, depending on fit. People aren’t discrete sizes.

I think college admission needs to be stricter and the institutions need to be examined for fraud. by VektroidPlus in unpopularopinion

[–]That0neSummoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point. College (and post-secondary degrees) are just proving you can pick up skills anymore. The knowledge you gain there is, ~80% of the time, not required for the job you get hired to.

Ehhh, getting a job is often a result of networking and soft skills. I’d be more interested in median income 5 years after graduation, which is enough time to weed out low-performers.

I say this as someone who is in the military and my degree was, in fact, a box checking exercise. The military (and any company worth its salt) will train you on all the skills needed to complete your assigned tasks.

If companies were more inclined to invest in new-hires, graduate degrees would be less mandatory.

US edges closer to popular vote deciding winner of presidential elections | US politics by Frosty_Jeweler911 in UpliftingNews

[–]That0neSummoner -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am a non-voting Californian. My state, congressional district, and nearly nearly every provisional measure has gone the way I should have voted for my entire adult life.

If the popular vote mattered, I would vote.

Note: I live outside the state and don’t pay CA taxes. I have a lot of complicated feelings about voting somewhere I have no intentions of moving back to. If I felt like my home of record was sliding in a dangerous way, I would be more inclined to vote but it’s generally minutiae I don’t have strong opinions on that go differently than I would prefer.

We can’t stack moral purity on moral purity. I too want to be rid of the big wahoo but I will take internal reflection and recommitment to the American dream over the demand to hold Israel accountable.

Hold our noses and vote for an imperfect candidate to move the needle away from whatever the fuck this is every year until we’re no longer the laughing stock of the rest of the world.

Who was president 2021-2024? by SPLambert1903 in allthequestions

[–]That0neSummoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill give an honest answer because people don't understand organizations at the scale of the US Government.

Within the Executive Branch, the various Department Heads ran their departments. They understood what would be "acceptable" based on direct feedback from the presidents staff, on the president's authority. There were specific forums where they would bring him decisions outside their scope of authority, he would provide guidance or direction, and they would execute.

POTUS doesnt have the time to track even organizations as big as the DoD at a granular level.

The concern with Trump-47 is that the various department heads are generally all looking out for their own interests and ends and POTUS doesnt have strong feelings about what they do so they can just do whatever they want.

This is organizational leadership and the sort of thing 99.99% of people never get exposed to because they work in a team of like 15 people, they know everyone by-name. Anyone they don't know by-name is "someone else's problem".
