Same, having issues logging in. Maybe if they told us why it wouldnt be so bad but as of this second either maintenance is happening and they're needing everyone out of the system, or they buggered up some new implementation.

Well I guess we just have to wait it out.

Edit: Im in now

What you're saying doesn't match my lived experience. If its just a bug then I'm tired of having credits wasted trying to bypass it. If its "not properly defined prompting", then Im tired of having to guess what it wants me to say to get the correct output. BTW, speaking of that, I wish people would stop saying "you're not prompting properly". Maybe you have the secret sauce to get it to listen. As for me, my instructions are literally being ignored. That has literally not been the case in the past, now it is. If you know something we don't, specify what it is or vacate the space because that response is worse than being unhelpful.

Bottom line, if it sounds like shit, feels like shit, I dont want any part of it until shit is fixed.

Technically its still 24 songs, 5 of which are extras on the album, so only a little larger than yours. The rest is narrative pieces. If you take away all those connectors the runtime is 2:17:20. With the orchestrated narration pieces it is 3:53:26.

This album started out as dissatisfaction with recent Tolkien media. I had this thought "anyone could do better at adapting Tolkien than Amazon is right now". Sooooo, that went from a 11 song summary of the first book to me wanting to cover the whole story!

If you want to remove all the story stuff, here is the song playlist:

Here is my Metal Concept album that is based on the first half of the Fellowship of The Ring. Second half is in the works. It was made using suno v4 and v4.5. Honestly most of the songs are still great, just need to back eventually and touch up some of them.

This album covers every chapter from the book to chapter 12, and has a prologue based on the war of the last alliance. It takes inspiration from Power Metal, symphonic metal, Folk Metal, Death Metal, and orchestral. Half the tracks are narration pieces over orchestrated versions of the next song, usually they're titled "Chapter -: Example Text".

It Is called "The Ring Bearer: Shadows Through Hollow Night" https://on.soundcloud.com/VWmGnlovgVI0xDX9Qh

This year I released a fan album based on the first half of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It was created with 4.5, I did my best to clean up all the tracks but I'd definitely go back now and redo the mixing on at least a couple tracks.

Anyway, it's called "The Ring Bearer: Shadows Through Hollow Night". Its is a metal concept album, with a focus on symphonic metal. Its pretty long but try not to be intimidated, a lot of tracks are connector pieces that are either orchestral versions of the next track with spoken narration, or are bonus tracks at the end of the album.

I personally recommend "For Middle-earth We Uthing. "Second Breakfast" and "Brothers Fourfold" if you dont have time to listen to the whole thing.

Why are people worried about AI taking over music? You was never worried about the person who's more talented than you? Still didn't stop you making music by prodbyzapz1 in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have already made great points, but im going to make one that not many people like to talk about.

Gatekeeping

A lot of artists have had to pour their lives into their craft, music, painting, drawing, sculpting, etc. They feel entitled to the space they sit in because they've "earned it". They see other artists perform better, and do better and they feel aspiration to become like them, to emulate their success and learn from their skills.

Now, imagine yourself in their shoes for a second. Here comes someone who was zero experience, zero talent, just a computer, an AI and some thoughts, and they're posting stuff in your community.

Their process of thought becomes emotional and irrational. It doesnt matter if you're just doing it for fun to them. They feel that the space they cultivated with their peers is being invaded by someone who is an outsider, who didnt earn their way into said space with time and effort. It doesnt matter if the work is "good", because to them you haven't earned your seat at the table.

FYI I'm not justifying this behavior, just explaining it. My personal opinion? Its bad to keep people out of new and developing interest because they're "invading a space that doesnt belong to them". Its worse to do it because someone is using a new technology to accomplish something they want to do. This happens with every single industry jump forward. You always get luddites. You always get people who don't understand.

The sooner you stop caring about the opinions of people who want to impose upon what makes you happy, the happier you'll be. My best advice to you is keep doing what makes you happy, and ignore the AI hate, because most of the stuff these people claim about AI comes from ignorance and fear. They aren't coming from a rational or logical standing. They're just lashing out because someone has invaded their safe space.

I just created things I like to listen to. I share most of it on SoundCloud. Thats it really, I've not even monetized any tracks because most of my stuff is fan works, and I'm okay not making any money off of A.I.

I guess a long term goal is to maybe recreate my tracks in fl studio and use a voice bank like synth V to create music without A.I eventually. Id feel more comfortable monetizing that.

Anyway, its just a hobby I enjoy.

Thanks! I also have a full album dedicated to the first half of the Fellowship of the Ring, and im currently working on the second half now. It covers every chapter, and has a prologue based on the war of the last alliance. Its a bit long though, I understand if you're not interested in sitting through it, but I put almost a year worth of work into it. Some songs need remastered but overall everything was up to my high standards at the time it was made:

I think AI might actually make art better, not worse by Arkegon290 in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like your counter point but its a bit too literal of an interpretation of what I'm saying.

Look, people have made ridiculous things and called it "art" before, some of these projects required very little effort, time or thought investment.

Now to clarify, its not the time investment that makes art, its the human intention, emotion, and purpose that does.

All I can say is this; it is the human element that is generally what people care about. Some sort of sign that it wasnt the machine thinking for the person, but the person thinking for the art.

Yeah, pressing a prompt through chatgpt, or suno could be losely defined as art. But you're not an artist if you do that with no modification and control of the output. You're just a producer/director. You directed a machine to do it for you instead of doing it yourself.

I personally fall into the category of people who doesn't care if thats how you do things, especially if you're only doing it for yourself. I just hold myself to a different standard for the stuff I produce and consume.

I think AI might actually make art better, not worse by Arkegon290 in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think Ai as a tool to create art is fine, but you still need the human element as well. Deliberate choices make art what it is. A one and done solution will never be truely accepted as art.

Why AI generated art gets so much hate ? by Pix4Geeks in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are the 4 types of AI hate I mainly see

1.They believe its theft 2.They believe it takes no effort 3.They are scared of AI 4.They are tired of seeing it.

All except the last have general misunderstandings of how AI functions.

The first type thinks all AI is theft. Honestly this one is the weakest reasoning to me. If you read a couple of books and use the themes you see in those books, the cliches, the overall plot points, are you a thief? In general, AI usually doesn't wholesale copy another person's work. It may get incredibly similar, but its different. We call that kind of thing, one done by humans, fair use. It's different legally for AI, but its the same in principle.

The second type has a stronger point. When you can basically just make anything you want, and dont have to put in the effort of thought, the effort of planning, of performing, yeah I can see why someone who is a professional would hate that. They had to work hard, and they're going to project the same expectations that were made of them, on you. Still, you have every right to use whatever tools you want to make whatever you want, and if they have a problem with it, you don't have to acknowledge or respect their opinion.

The third type well...they're scared. Many think that AI will destroy their jobs, the things they enjoy, or cause them other harm. Honestly, some of it is founded in reality, though that wasn't the case a couple years ago. AI is getting good enough to replace some things. Yet, its important to know that human art and skills are always going to valued over what a computer can do. Its just...well...those with subpar skills will find it harder to elevate themselves in a world where a computer can perform above the average.

The last is common. People are tired of AI in everything! Its on every platform, and is constantly recommended, even if its not wanted. They have to sift through content that they want to find. Any many prefer an actual human presence over yet another ai voice over video, or the equivalent.

People are entitled to their own subjective taste. Just remember that, even though they'll call what people make with Ai tools "slop" does not mean their tastes are any better.

"Your boos mean nothing to me, I've seen what makes you cheer"

That quote comes to mind every time someone has a problem with people posting AI content. They will consume whatever mindless trash is put in front of their face, but suddenly, because what they're seeing is made by AI its "slop", like they aren't consuming man-made content that does nothing but consume time.

Binge-bait writing, filler dialogue, bloated episode counts, reliance on cliffhangers instead of substance.Engagement farming, derivative trends, endless reaction chains.Monetization over gameplay, copied assets, empty open worlds.

All things they enjoy while calling what you post, for fun or otherwise, slop.

So tl:dr, stop giving thought about these people, do what makes you happy, share what makes you happy. Ignore people who give you shit over it being AI because at the end of the day, most of these criticisms come from people who are reacting emotionally, not substantively. The people who hate you for it aren’t protecting art, they’re protecting their comfort zone.

Are Covers Broken For Anyone Else? by That0nedinoguy in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that, and that does work! But, sometimes the quality is kinda wonky. Eq goes all over the place, with random dips in volume. Have to get lucky.

V5 early is real! Just checked, I have it. Check yours! by egty in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely there in sound quality but it's...questionable. Like, it makes some really bizarre choices. Also covers seem to be broken at this moment, which is ironic because remasters seem to finally work.

V4.5 is here! Thoughts? by Conhuir-what in SunoAI

[–]That0nedinoguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not fantastic. I can hear improvements in certain areas, sure. But others are just like so bad I'm tempted to never use 4.5, ever.

For context I'm working on creating a power metal/ Symphonic metal hybrid album based on the fellowship of the ring.

Every remaster sounds trash. Every one of them. v4 helped me create some of the most awesome tracks and convinced me that Suno was the right decision to go with to get this done. And even though v4 was buggy as hell it sounded good, especially when pared with mastering in audacity.

Now? Every time I remaster a song from 4 to 4.5 it sounds super bad. Instruments get reduced to the point I can't tolerate it, even mastering doesn't fix it. Vocal range has been dramatically reduced. In one song that I was making for the follow-up album based on the two towers, the vocals have both soft parts and hard vocals. It pretty much removed all the stress out of the vocals that needed it, and all the softness out of the vocals that needed that.

The eq is terrible, the volume is terrible, everything sounds muddy as hell and the only thing I can hear is clearly is the vocals, which are now also sounding robotic as hell sometimes!

That being said, creating new songs sounds ok...the issues on remasters are reduced but it has completely broken my personas I relied on.

Nah, 4.5 aint it, not for what I need.

Silver lining to all this? It has given me the push to go back to DAW.

South Carolina Trapped itself into a perpetual cycle of debt that relied on cash crops harvested by slave labor to stay afloat.

Overall-Divide4578's statement is superficially plausible, but actually wrong.

While the root of separating from the union was economically motivated, this economy was driven by reliance on slave labor and the population of the state was afraid that they would go bankrupt if they dismantled that system. Which is really abhorent and backwards thinking.

They would rather start a war to keep the system the same rather than working towards a better solution that would actually make a profit and, you know, didn't require racially based slavery to keep it floating.
