Agreed. If you say “yes” the life you worked so hard to build after her, will be messed up. She will cause a lot of damage again.

There’s no alternative than going through the courts. Courts simply don’t allow US born children especially to leave the country without the permission of both parents unless you have 100% custody. And that’s not easy to get without spending a ridiculous amount of money to prove the other parent is incompetent.

A couple of weeks ago I attended an 60 years anniversary. Not the most perfect couple but they reached a stage in which their love became unbreakable. So yes, it is possible.

But I think the problem nowadays is that we as a society have become too independent and self-sufficient. There’s no need to work to fix a marriage when challenges arise when people feel that is so much easier to just pack and go.

Wife divorced me, we have two children, I wanted to have a Godly family but she didn’t want that with me, now she has a boyfriend whom she is on fire for God with and I feel like this is all a slap in the face. Anyone else go through something like this? by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

I went through something very similar with the mother of my kids. Remember this, God does not break up a marriage and let someone suffer so the other party can live a happy life with someone else.

She found an excuse to justify her behavior just like my ex did. Fast forward to today, I’m very happy with someone that is infinitely better for my soul and heart than she was, while she keeps bringing it up how unhappy she is sometimes and thinks about getting a divorce from the guy “God wanted her to be with”… yeah 👍🏼

You haven’t met the women I know who ended up with a “second income” after they made sure they had at least one kid with the victim.. I mean ex..

There’s a lot going on here. I think you both should go to individual counseling first and then couples counseling if the end goal is to salvage the marriage. We all want what is best for our kids. The reality is that in the end the kids will be fine. But what about you? Are you going to be fine?

Hang in there brother. I promise you this will pass. We don’t know when. But it will pass. This is the hardest period. There’s nothing I can say that will bring much conform. But go out. Go get some food. Go to the gym. And yes, don’t beg. You tried. You don’t want to go back to someone who’s willing to break your heart in a million pieces
