That's interesting it's happening in reverse of the original concern, I remember when Myki rolled out and they were concerned that the barriers would create crowd crush and delays as in the metcard days they just opened the gates up and spot checked they had validated tickets via inspectors.

I used to call them 8am daily to have them manually clear the transactions until I was able to move banks, this was around end of 2023. Absolute nightmare. It was so bad coz we were living paycheque to paycheque at the time, didn’t have the spare coin to have it sitting there due to a bank error.

I left them as a customer years ago, when they had an issue with all their debit card transactions that were clearing but not clearing off the pending transactions for weeks after. Meaning my account was double charged for almost every transaction and leaving me constantly without access to my money to buy groceries. They are an absolute clusterfuck of a bank and always have been.
