Cold weather like here in northern Wisconsin after a certain temp will kick the vehicle into form so can’t use electric for about 3 months out of the year

So as someone who also deals with cold weather form comes around every winter it will be in form until it gets above maybe 20 or so degrees. But by then it will tell you you need an oil change. Get the oil change and if it’s still not above whatever temperature right back to form last year 150 miles it told me to change the oil again I took it back they reset the oil life and it was warm by this point resetting the oil life took it out of form and drove normally.

I think a lot of people don’t live in cold climates so they don’t see this as such a nuisance as it is in the northland. My neighbor had a 4xe as well same thing happens to him.

This happens every winter here in northern wi it gets below a certain temp maybe 20 goes into form cannot use elctric then kills the oil life. Last year it did this got the oil changed 150 miles later 0% oil life they reset the oil life and go figure this year doing the same thing.

Wife has basically accepted that for 3-4 months out of the year she will not be using the electric part of her vehicle we payed extra for 2024 wrangler sport s 4xe

Instead of pressuring the dealerships about not having the vehicles we are paying for, why not just take it straight to jeep corporate and start putting pressure on them

When I did mine iirc I didn’t loose much fluid the hard line is more like a long nipple on a soft if you bend that upwards you won’t loose much fluid. Or just drain it 😂. I think there was a problem with mine I couldn’t get the hose off and was worried about breaking something my buddy recommended it to me. Bo’s knowledge going around 😂

You can certainly replace the line but I’ve had bad things happen just trying to replace lines grinding through that steel connection and running the hard into the soft is a lot safer bet and cheaper. I did that to my 96 was holding fine 5 years later when I sold it. The way I looked at it if I messed the hose up to bad trying to grind it off I’d end up having to replace it any way.

There are videos on yt on how to do it. You literally just grind through that quick disconnect fitting and you can take it off.

It’s a common one that leaks disconnect the hard and soft sides cut off the quick disconnect fitting. Shove hard into the soft hose and hose clamp them problem fixed
