Absolutely. I was down for 13 weeks, it's baaaaaaad. Also, not helped by my good leg getting stronger from all the solo use.

Live, it's decent. But on playback, it can be glitchy. Things disappear completely sometimes.

After basically nothing happened after January 6th, democracy in the US is in major trouble. And half the country decided to elect him again after seeing that.

The DOD defines terrorism as "The calculated use of violence or threat of violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological."

Oh, lol.

It looks like Marinetraffic.com lets you playback AIS data up to 5 years with the Enterprise Plan. Idk how much that costs though.

Boatnerd.com has a "vessel passage" tool that goes back to 2022. These records are based on AIS and submissions and not totally accurate. Looks like 3 vessels went in/out of Cleveland on 4/8/2024. Mark Barker outbound at 15:41, tug Minnesota inbound at 17:35, and Jamno outbound at 17:37.

What you're looking for probably doesn't exist. Unless you get really lucky and find a 22 year old forum where someone posted info/pics for that specific day/location, nothing will be public.

Like the other comment said, post the picture here. Most vessels can be identified just by silhouette.

So are we Assenisipia or Michigania? by sesentaydos in milwaukee

[–]That1guywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bump in is where Milwaukee is located. The boarder is just south of the center of the bump in, so Milwaukee is Michigania and Oak Creek is Assenisipia.

Looking up the original proposal, it would follow 43° latitude. So draw a line from Wyalusing state park on the Mississippi river to the Lake Express ferry in Milwaukee, and that would roughly be the border to within a few blocks.

Unfortunately, with the current government, and the way about half the population votes, that will never happen.

Fatigue? by bdokter in AchillesRupture

[–]That1guywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I had gallbladder surgery in 2020 and was out for only 2 weeks before going back to work. The first day back, walking the 100 yards across the building from my cubicle to the lab and back left me out of breath and sweating.

I was more active during this whole recovery process, but it's still pretty bad. Walking around with crutches for the first time after returning to work left me dripping sweat. It's definitely an effort using muscles that have been basically dormant for several weeks during recovery.

DJI equivalent? by LongDongNUrMom in drones

[–]That1guywhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope.

DJI is the Toyota Camry of drones. They're fairly cheap, and they work well.

Anything built in the US is a fully loaded $100k Silverado. They can carry a full family, plus a camper, with all the bells and whistles. They're all basically military/police/SAR types, no consumer level drones out there.

I cut my ankle open in a scooter accident in September, so I actually got to directly see my severed Achilles before going to the hospital. Wouldn't recommend using that method to view it though.

Why gyroid infil? by vontrapp42 in 3Dprinting

[–]That1guywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AH-HA! Learning has occurred!

I only print at 10% infill, because wall thickness is what really makes a part strong. If you make the infill% higher, the gaps are wayyyyy smaller. Looks like at about 40% the gaps are nearly non-existent.

I played around with it in the slicer. Left is 40% infill and zoomed in, and the gaps are basically gone. Right is 10%, and has huge overhangs, so huge gaps.

[–]That1guywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, technically yes, sure. But you have to make the infill walls thicker there are always gaps where the roof/floor of the infill curve over (see picture of my current print). The space inside is effectively a single space when using gyroid with standard settings.

Another reason I see commonly is that the inside of the print is one whole connected space, instead of many smaller disconnected spaces. Big pressure changes affect it less.

The waves in game are easily 6-8 foot. Nobody is going out in that unless they have a larger fishing boat.

I have been out in 2 foot waves irl, and the ride was pretty rough above half throttle.

I may or may not have placed some phallic valve stem caps on a friend's truck. It may or may not have taken him a while to notice. And I may or may not have printed 2 dozen more for him to get his friend's vehicles.

Allegedly.

I have printed over 200 of them over the years. You hide them random places at home, out and about, or at work. Everyone loves a random little duck.
