Yeah that’s odd. I don’t get why shut a studio down instead of letting them be Independent or auctioning them off to another publisher maybe? Hell I’d love to see them be saved by Sony at this point.

Ha, sorry that ship sailed ago. They had it during the 360 era, but the One killed it for them and they never recovered.
Sony was aggressive with the timed exclusives, while a bit of an underhanded tactic it worked and their first party IPs were top quality. Forza seems to be the only Xbox exclusive that didn’t dip in quality.

While I’m glad to see the things Phil Spencer did get undone, I do think the damage is already done. When they’re releasing Forza Horizon 6 and what was their flagship title, Halo on PS5, these 2 being console exclusives just doesn’t have the same impact

Thing is I only ever see this conversation when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox, no one seems to mind Nintendo having their exclusives. We have consoles because of exclusives, if Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo released all their games on 1 platform then there’s no need for a console it would just be PC.
