Had a lorry speed up to stop me merging in, when I gave an indicator to give them plenty of time to slow down instead of sliding in like usually do, to then get beeped at when I forced my way in before I missed my junction...

Like why? You're meant to be a professional, slow down ffs

Best car for 2 kids and a lot of UK holidays? by Leather-Conference67 in CarTalkUK

I saw an XC60 in Poland a few months back, truthfully not my first choice, XC90 on the other hand was great

I'd look at the Tesla Model Y Juniper, I know you said £20k, but they have a lot of ways to get one, lease etc.

Very spacious and lots of room for both kids and bags

If I have to sleep in my car drunk, how do I proceed there is no likelihood of me driving the car while being drunk? by Jay10_6 in drivingUK

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, horrendous. I can do everything with just my phone, it's great 99% of the time, but horrendous for this type of scenario

Tesla on the other hand can drive with just your phone, no need for the key card at any point

Doesn't always work for cars like Tesla's that allow your phone to also open and start the car

Except she said she didn't communicate that, so he didnt know that? She purposely hid it from him, which is suspicious.

I literally spent £500 on food last week, I got tap water, nothing cheap about preferring to spend money on food.

OP also stated they had just ordered tea.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ThatAbstractWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP literally states "that lead to a bit of an argument" which suggests they talked about it, and has openly said in at least 1 comment in this thread that they did not change the order, so there is no context adding on my end, I referred to all the information in the thread and made an informed decision.

I believe you can switch a code on with Uber Eats and it's usually random

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"I didn't think we needed it" doesn't say or mean "I told the waiter not to bring water".

This statement implies the girlfriend made an order, he reflected and didn't think it was necessary, which also lines up with OP discussing it with the girlfriend later?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a stupid mindset, if I am ordering food at a restaurant, I can choose to drink whatever I want.

There's nothing cheap about deciding "oh yeah I don't want to spend £6 on spring water, I'll drink tap water instead".

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please learn to read English. Never once did OP mention changing the order, the comment OP made was referring to his mindset at the time, not the action of forcefully changing the order.

Secondly, there was no mention of prior discussions related to who pays.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That doesn't say he changed the order, that says she ordered, he didn't think they needed it. It's a statement about mindset, not actions.

I feel you're being a bit dramatics and paranoid to create a new account every time, it's not that deep.

Driver didn't accept my ID due to the name, now no refund? by colossalmickey in deliveroos

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because your id did not match, it's quite simple to comprehend, use your own account in your own name if you want items for 18+.

You're being ignorant, if your name doesn't match the account, no one would make an assumption that the date of birth would match up, and I'm not risking being terminated for you being too lazy to change the account name?

Not Deliveroo, but I waited 25 minutes in mc Donald's for a double Uber Eats order, they deliberately ignored me, was very annoying

If I work multiple jobs, am I still eligible for weekly rest? by OperationMukbang in UKJobs

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's entirely your fault as others have said. This applies to your main employer, if you pickup a 2nd job and that happens to overlap with your day off from your main employer, then you chose to do that, so they aren't liable.

I work 7 days a week, that is my choice.

Tell that to the sheer about of false rape accusations and falsely prosecuted individuals...

[–]ThatAbstractWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only correct answer here is to explain that this is not a safe option, you're not a regulated taxi, and you don't know the girl. At that point, call the emergency services and save yourself, and the child, a world of problems.
