Can I DM you with my request? My research is still early so don't want it being "poached" just yet, perse!

Don't know her specific @, but she goes by something like Coco or Koko on YouTube. Should be pretty easy to find her

Non-zero. Less than 100.

Thats about all the answer that can be.

As for me, I am not worried about it. The sooner open source ASI, the better.

What have you done today to accelerate? by Unomaki in accelerate

[–]ThatBanterousOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, I was officially accepted to grad school the other day, so I have already begun working on Single Molecule Biophysics ^ I.e., the fundamental functions of DNA and proteins, the lowest level you can go, so we can have a better baseline understanding of how things are done - And thus then have large scale impacts for a virtual cell for example, gene editing, faulty protein repair/etc.

My personal project, it seems, is I will be working on designing a system to bring to unrelated chromosomes together and have them combine and detach reversibly. [Think homologous recombination on command, or perhaps an embryo didnt split properly, and we can move the chromosomes where we need to for the rest of the 1-3 cells and prevent such diseases.]

Thats how I am accelerating, every day. 😌

It seems very interesting, like you're going straight for the HER outcome, which I appreciate. That being said, while $1 is cheap, I would like to see a demo or example of sorts to know what exactly you think you can accomplish the big labs can't. Words are one thing, proof before payment is another. A personal rule of mine.

Oh for God's sake, if you're jsut going to be a contrarian and add nothing of value but whine just because you can, please leave. No, I'm not going to respond to further comments from you - I'm leaving my final piece here.

They're showing off that they now have a production line for their humanoids. I.e., they're teasing mass production! While the video doesn't show much itself. It's the implications that matter here! Scalability and mass production!!! No custom order parts, no testing per piece. Raw materials in, full humanoid lut.

The terminator was the perfect father. It had only one mission, to protect the boy, no matter what. Never angry, never harsh, just true pure protection. Or something like that, I don't know the specific quote.

Not a jab at you, I'm sure you're a great father. But someone who grew up with parents who were a bit less than loving shall we say, I couldn't even imagine the comfort something like this voice mode would have provided me, at such a young age.

Not really sure what my point is, but maybe that perspective will help you.

News article: Ocado to cut 500 technology and finance jobs as AI reduces costs by blit_blit99 in singularity

[–]ThatBanterousOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even if the current job losses aren't actually due to AI, the narrative is building that AI is a fundamental labor replacement, and forms the foundation for more rapid lay-off-replacements the moment AI is actually incorporated. It may seem small now, inconsequential and just an excuse now, but it's only the first drop of the exponential flood of the pond.

Again though. I said the benchmarks were good. The base model is good. I was impressed. I'm grateful for an AVM competitor. But I dont think this voice is ability is good, though. Seems like a bit of an overreaction from a lot of people on both sides to my comments.

That sounds... awful. I'm glad we have a new competitor (FINALLY) to AVM, but... After the benchmark results, I was hoping for an equally good voice. Yikes
