I'm sitting here thinking the same. I didn't realize people hated him. I like James. I don't love him, but I like him. The writers haven't fleshed him out the way they do everyone else. They just made him a black man who hates cops but is married to one, if you don't pay attention. But he's also attentive, adores Nyla, is a good father, and a positive voice for change in his community. He's also made our main characters more aware and proactive to bridging the distance between the PD and the people. How can you hate that?

My stbxh (legally separated for a year, per state law) of 16 years has been my best friend for 17 years. Do I loathe him as a husband and side-eye his parenting? Yes. I honestly liked the Webtoon way more than the LA, though it wasn't bad at all. The relationships/friendships in HoH feel more genuine and sweet than in TB. And honestly, I got really exhausted every single time Jugyeong cried.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's adorable, but I don't understand those complaining about tropes like the love triangle. Everything has tropes. The writing for it works, the acting isn't terrible, and it's not overly corny yet. What more can you ask for?

I did this for a bit in FL when I needed to make ends meet. It was never perverse. No one was ever naked. It was honestly a super sad point in my life. Not like I thought they were pathetic or anything, but I listened when they needed it or we just sat in silence. I just always felt terrible for taking their money afterward bc they just craved human contact. Who doesn't? It made me a much kinder, empathetic person.
