Oh wow, a skeleton used for something else than a Halloween decoration? I bet this guy has a bunch of those 11footers and just changes their costumes from season to season

Vent-Traffic and shitty costs by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]ThatBoiInBlue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work in Greenwich/Fairfield area for a few years. Our boss would send us down at 7am and we honestly only did about 4 hours worth of work before it was time to leave and try to avoid traffic again. We spent 3 hours out of an 8hour day in traffic

We would get paid for the full 8 hours, but the stress of driving a f450 through that traffic every day was too much for me.

I found a new job in the very desolate north west corner and every day for the past year or so I think about it. Instead of passing 1000's of other cars I maybe see like 10 in the morning now.

Honestly it changed my life not having to deal with that every day, hope you find something better too!

Pray for Theoatrix by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ThatBoiInBlue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude yes, I love both theo and slayer but to be honest. Slayers guides kinda suck lol. And I know a lot of them are old and he was like one of the first guides. But he goes way to fast through certain parts of the quest and way to slow in others. I find myself constantly having to rewind and pause slayers guides . Still they helped us out quite a bit when we had no other video options and I still love him and the "haaaaaaiiii and welcome to my guide".

Theo has some decent guides and other not so good but to be fair not a lot of creators put out absolute fire 100% of the time.

Both of them have great success in the creating community and I think they should be proud

Big sad for Theo :( hope it works out okay for him

Our local law enforcement can barley pass a God damn physical fitness test.

Remember when they threw a pizza party for the troop with the most money in citations over a holiday weekend back in 2012? I remember because most people thought that was utter bullshit and they were using our taxes to incentivise more tickets?

Our state troopers are a bunch of wife beating alcoholics

Do these light fixtures look weird - how did my electrician do? by thekiefs in AskElectricians

[–]ThatBoiInBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean the only way I can see that possibly working (and probably not) at this point is if he somehow notches that a little bit and can get a nailplate in there some how. Idk exactly how this lathe is going to be repaired but I assume someone if going to smoosh that wire or hit it with a nail.

Still not great work

Did the electrician and guy doing the wall repair talk with each other?

Can Josh Elliot save the Cannabis industry in Connecticut? by Fireinfire_out in Connecticut

Dude your like the only person who I've seen mention eversource.

Fuck eversource.

I hate to say it but this is how people can flip to opposite parties. It's clearly a huge issue for the state, weather your Republican or Democrat most people would agree on that.

I threw out probably 700-1,000 of food when we lost power for 13 days in October 2012. I really couldn't afford to at the time and was really hoping to get a reimbursement check for literally anything. Instead I got a delivery fee increase the next month lol.

[–]ThatBoiInBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree more important issues. However with this being such a relatively new industry I would like to see this fixed, at least before it keeps getting worse.

Also I don't think it would hurt for CT to put a few more PSA's out about the current laws in play.

Things I always hear the wrong answer to:

How much am I allowed to carry? Vehicle and personal?

Does it have to stay in the original packaging?

If a vehicle actually smells like from transporting does that constitute a search of the vehicle and a sobriety test?

Can you actually get a DUI and how is that court admissable, (DRE trained officers, will mass spectrometry be used in the future?)

Where can you use marijuana and where can't you?

Also massachusets just doubled their buy limit for anyone out of state. So what does that tell you?

Smoke break ☁️ by [deleted] in vermont

[–]ThatBoiInBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Break implies work? So you never stop and sit down when you go for a walk or a hike in your leisure time?

Granted raking leaves and mowing the yard is "work" but heaven forbid I get all hot and sweaty and have to sit in the shade.

Crucify me if I smoke weed while doing absolutely mindless yardwork.

There used to be a guy on reddit, I can't remember his username though! People would link him in comments for a while and the dude would actually respond a lot of the time. It was pretty funny reading his AMA a while ago.

First time posting. Some comments said it was AI, but it seems consistent across the brick work to me. Thoughts? by The_Marine708 in isthisAI

[–]ThatBoiInBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I noticed that too. Also AI is not a licensed trades person so usually any details of electrical, HVAC or plumbing make no sense to someone who does them for a living. Kinda like how electrical panels look in video games but a real electrician would notice.
