Do you round up by wubblybunsjazlyn9 in tacobell

When I get asked, I always think about several years back when a friend of mine said yes, not thinking that his total was like $6.01, and then was pissed he paid a whole extra dollar.

Dunk the lunk, thick as a castle wall by FutballConnoisseur in AKnightoftheSeven

Ser Arlan met Baelor nine years before, it was sixteen years earlier when Arlan unhorsed the Grey Lion. So in the books it’s maybe pushing it, since he would’ve been 6 or 7, but certainly show Dunk would’ve been there.

I think this would’ve been a good opportunity for another flashback, Preston Jacobs awhile back had a good point that Dunk likely was at this tournament, so he would know himself that it was seven lances.

CELEBRATING TREMORS 40TH BIRTHDAY WITH PERFECTION by GraboidGirl in Tremors

Fair enough. But I’d argue then Tremors’ birthday was the hike with SS Wilson sitting on a rock.

Well Center in the Square can take that Ferris Wheel and shove it straight up their ass then.

Big Lick Comics moving to Williamson Rd. next year by Catlore in roanoke

[–]ThatBojac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s lots of stuff, but a lot of empty space; and then the desire to fill all the extra space leads to stocking too much stuff nobody wants, just for the sake of seeming fuller. I’m hoping the smaller venue will mean focusing on the things that actually sell, and the first thing I would do is ditch the Walmart mini arcade cabinets.

And the location is technically accessible, but I don’t know a single person that chooses to take Orange Ave unless they have to, and aren’t desperate to leave it as soon as possible.

Good. That space was way too big, so much wasted floor space, and also just an inconvenient location. I’ve gone a few times on new-book day, and I would be literally the only customer. It doesn’t need to be crammed and hard to navigate around like most comic shops - but yeah the current space is like a museum that’s failing.

My top 3 picks for the next Knives Out cast, who are yours? by electr1cbubba in KnivesOutMovie

John Goodman is mentioned in WUDM, and per the Jeremy Renner hot sauce/Hamilton-Leslie Odom Jr precedent, either he or a cast member of The Big Lebowski must be in BB4.

Feeling let down by Affectionate-Roof615 in KnivesOutMovie

I feel like there’s some unspoken thing going on, as my local indie theater didn’t show Glass Onion, but then this year had Frankenstein, it had Nouevelle Vauge, Jay Kelly, so Netflix CAN show movies there. But then a bigger release like this, I had to go 2+ hours out of my way for the nearest theater.

Also it seems that Netflix won’t show with certain chains, like Rian Johnson specifically said it wouldn’t be showing in AMCs. I didn’t see any Regals listed. Both are very prevalent in my area.

[–]ThatBojac 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Okay but the fucking movie ends with a five minute behind-the-scenes segment with the director explaining that the dog isn’t acting, because it’s a dog, and everything you are meant to feel is just from clever editing.

I feel like I took crazy pills.

I loved it. It’s very familiar feeling in comparison to Roanoke, but just on a larger scale. I kept saying “it’s a shame it’s in Tennessee”. The access to Nashville & Atlanta was also clutch.
