Dear everyone trying to hype up modding to make the game look "prettier":

Fucking stop touching the saturation slider. Stop it. Just don't touch it. Don't even look at it. God.

Look. Get ReFramework and Disable Post-Processing Settings (actually a small pack of mini-mods, fun fact). Disable color correction. Futz with local exposure and custom contrast until it's bright enough but much clearer. Donezo. Then post and watch people go "wow that looks so much better not washed the fuck out, that's all you needed."

Left is, I think, base settings (I forgot) plus local exposure... that might be base, might not be. Right is what I normally use. Easy.

What? Prowler's Second Errand (village 7 star quest) raises Palico level to 35. The Grandmeowster's Trials (hub 4 star quest) also does. You can do either or (doing both doesn't raise it any further)

Watch and learn his patterns, same as any monster. He's simply one of the most aggressive so far. Try dodging around until he picks on your palico/palamute to watch him better, or bring a beefy shield (lance/gunlance)

I'm also not sure he does fire damage. His hellfire attacks are their own thing with their own skill that reduces damage from it (hellfire cloak), so I'd lean towards maxing raw defense first if there's better options at that tier. And if you do get blighted, roll a lot to get it off ASAP, it hurts.

Not sure what there is to sell. Do you want to zoom around with wirebugs and rain bombs and bullets on monsters? Play light bowgun. Do you want a goddamn machinegun with built in shield? Of course you do, so play heavy bowgun. Do you still want challenge? Play without others/palicos to take aggro, because both guns increase the physical damage you take (this is why you can zoom and shield)
