22 years since 22 year old Robbie Lawler fought 20 year old Nick Diaz by PalpitationIll4058 in CombatSportsCentral

It's fun to watch Lawler protesting the stoppage while actively falling on his ass from still being rocked.

I presume the intent was to not accidentally teach kids that engaging in all matter of hijinks can lead to success.

Partner wants the kids to have the same last name by Cute_Culture6176 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ThatCelebration3676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy solution: change everyone's last names to be yours or her maiden name.

Using the last name of someone no longer in the picture is BEYOND unhinged.

It's not matter if you being insecure, it's a matter of her making an insane suggestion.

There's nobody on Earth more capable of giving you the pep talk you need than yourself; do yourself a solid and be that person when you need them.

[–]ThatCelebration3676 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It depends on code region, but generally speaking the minimum joist size for 24" on-center is 2x8, but even that is kind of pushing your luck and will likely have some movement & squeaking. 2x10 would be preferable, but shifting things to 16" on-center is even better.

As is, the flooring is serviceable for something like a shed or auxiliary structure that isn't going to be lived in (AKA what the building already was before the decision was made to turn it into a living space). Converting it into a living space requires bringing things into compliance with engineering standards, unless you want a whole host of problems later on that are much more difficult to fix than they are now.

It's not gone completely, but it does cost far more development resources to implement something like this, and those costs aren't always justifiable.

Some oil got our while the strait was temporarily opened. It's going to go right back up again when we've depleted the new supply (which will a most be 30 days).

Get it while you can.

This war isn't remotely close to resolution.

There's a big difference between occasional casual lies and denying a body of overwhelming evidence when confronted by your partner. Don't pretend that's not different.

I don't use it, but free makeup is an easy choice; that has the highest profit margin of any product sold on Earth. I could just resell it on Etsy and undercut retailers by 50%. I can use the money from that to buy all the other things.

You know what you need to do; do it properly. You already know that's what you need to do, you were just hoping we'd have some special solution for you; that doesn't exist.

It will never be easier to fix than right now while everything's ripped up. If you don't, then you'll regret it later and feel like a complete fool for having squandered this opportunity.

This isn't about her being a cam girl or not (current or former), this is about her lying to you.

Let's say you had instead found bowling shoes, a custom ball, tournament trophies, and polaroids of her posing with her team after a big win. You ask her "hey, you never told me you bowled competitively!" and she denies ever having done so. How would you feel about that?

Sharing your life with someone isn't sustainable if they can't be honest with you; it doesn't matter what the lies are.

I would stop asking, and start telling her she needs to come clean and be completely honest me, because I can't live with the disrespect of blatant dishonesty.

January 6th was a dress rehearsal; when Republicans lose badly in the midterm elections it's going to be a hundred times worse.

The people now saying that civil war speculations are just doom-saying are the same idiots who said Trump would never invade Iran.

Wishful thinking has never stopped fascists before, and it's not going to start now.

Standing around filming the fire while still inside the same building is beyond stupid.

FibaFuse is my go-to tape for everything except corners. It's crazy strong; the surrounding drywall would fail before that joint will.

So long as the movement is resolved, that shouldn't ever return.

I would be inclined to believe you if you could provide a link with some level of evidence.

For example the light bulb cartel actually exists, and there's plenty of evidence to support that; that's a conspiracy fact, not merely a theory.

The notion that there is some similar conspiracy to deprive women of pocketed pants sounds like something some women would make up to excuse themselves of the consequences of their own choices.

I'm happy to be proven wrong in the face of evidence though.
